    Its fine, the general idea I still agree with. Balance needs to be addressed to make content worth a sh!t

    Or allow it to hold limited melding (1 imo with current content stats)

    I also like the idea of melding the raid gear.

    I say let us meld raid items at 1/2 the % of crafted gear.

    Melding a 2nd materia to a crafted item is what? 20%?

    Raid gear would be a 10% then for a 2nd materia. And so on down to very low values for 3, 4 and 5.

    This would add replay value for raids, and puts raid gear right where it should be balance-wise.

    Completely agree with this, I kind of wish more people had been vocal about this like a month ago when I made a topic about it. I really don't think SE is going to change this crap until we get up in arms about it like everyone did for the ridiculous ifrit loot system. (Still don't have my spear by the way, but i did get 3 ifrits blades in 3 fights the other night even though i already had one)

    The truth of the matter is, as long as there is gear that can be materia'd, any Rare/EX item is going to be worthless in comparison and not worth getting unless it has 4x the stat boost a craftable piece of gear has.

    Like I was saying the other night to a linkshell member, heaven knows that if I were to put some HP materia on my dream hat I would be the most unstoppable force that this game has ever had to answer too, and I would destroy everything in my path including the civilians in town because of the amount of uncontrollable power surging from my body.

    the only part I dont like about this is the fact that you cant hold more then one raid item at a time. When you say 1/2 do you mean only a 50% chance to succeed the melding or do you mean only half the stats from the materia? if its the later then that is fine but I would hate to loose an Ifrit weapon and have to do 100 more raids to get another one.
