I do agree with this statement. As a tank I will do what I can to maintain aggro even on targets I did not pull. Sure it will annoy me greatly letting someone die because you can seems like bullying / abuse of a role to me. If I really do not like them pulling for me I will simply asked to be removed from the group and will queue up again once I am removed.

Even so, a dead healer is a devastating hit to a party. Seems best to lay low and keep the DPSs and Tanks healthy.
Generally, rule of thumb is that aggro is everybody's responsibility. I would say try to find a healthy balance between DPS'ing and healing. And hope that your fellow DPS aren't the type to eat every single attack just because there's a healer in the group. For dungeon runs, don't be afraid of using Lucid if you're coming up on aggro - if aggro management is an issue with every single pull as a healer, then either the tank is not doing their job in maintaining their threat, or you are doing too much healing (no reason to keep the tank at 100% all the time). The best thing I can tell you as far as healing goes is learn to get comfortable with your tank being under 80%. Then when you find your groove as a healer, 50%. Get comfortable with your oGCDs as a WHM.

Green pathways? You want to stay away from the areas that are green, those are where the dragon's going to destroy the paths.

...When you get Shinryu for trial and this one bard stands in the proximity markers for the adds three times.

I don't care if it's your first time, you'd have thought the first two wipes would have taught you a lesson!!!

Edit: Annnnd Just did HoH, got all DPS. We make it to the floor 30 boss... and all the other DPS die because they just kept standing in the proximity aoe marker, right up on his butt.

    Whyyyyyyyyy?!

2 stories, one was bad and one really cool.

Susanoo normal, 2 First timer. I was healer. Someone explained the basics and we started. I swear to you i rezzed the new smn and new bard at least 10 times before the sword. And we died of too little DMG. Wow. Ok we start again, someone explained the basics again. Second healer left because he probably thought we were doomed to fail.
We did it in our 4th try. The Bard got better, the smn Not so much. I feel bad for everyone who meet this slow Player. How did she even get so far?!
Well that was my longest susanoo kill. 40 minutes....

Another time i got nidhogg. Me (healer) and the mt were the only one who wasnt new. I remember my first nidhogg try. It was horrible and well they probably thought so too. The first try lasted until 7%. Only me and the mt were alive. I didn't even count how many times i rezzed everyone. I did everything i could. I tried to rez them asap, of course my cohealer always First (Sometimes you can make it, Like my one time when rabanastre was still new. There was a Second Stack Marker in our Party and i was the only one who Ran away so i was the only one alive. I rezzed my cohealer and we got the alliance Up! Tldr: my cohealer here was good but still someone who wasnt used to this Fight), i burned my mp like 3 times, i healed through akh morn with only me and the mt 4 times, i used lb3. We still died. The mt and some others complimented me that i was amazing and stuff but I didn't think so. It was nice but i don't feel Like I'm amazing If the only ones i keep alive are me and the mt...
The mt (probably Here through Mentor Roulette) explained some mechanics and in our second try only one died and we blasted through nidhogg like He was nothing.
We were so Happy and everybody thanked us.

Both trials were somewhat similar but my feelings at the end were so different.

So on the edge of the columns youre standing on there should be little wind swirls in several directions. Stepping into a swirl should "jump" you to the next platform in that direction. When Hraesvelgr flies off the screen and gets ready to bomb through his upcoming path shows in green. When this happens you want to use the swirls to jump to a platform outside his path on either side of where he will be going. He knocks out a line of platforms, floats back down, and you start attacking again(jumping again to regroup if needed).

    lolwuttho...

I only run Leveling Roulette as Adventurer in Need so I can get the bonus company seals. Fuels my squadron and contributes towards my lazy acquisition of GC mats for submarine upgrades.

I felt pretty good about this run, 18 min Qarn... could have been faster but one of the DPS was killing the heads before I got them on properly placed on pads AND nobody grabbed the the Flame of Magic while I was pulling mobs over to the Fruit of Knowledge.

I did have to self-sustain myself a few times with potions! But I got so many from PotD and HoH now I don't even care and welcome a reason to use them. Which is also why I didn't even bother to comment about the level 36 WHM not casting Regen a single time through the entire dungeon.

So I was super surprised to see this hella passive aggressive remark after clearing the entire dungeon! Nothing was said the entire run. Nobody died! And I was confident enough in my ability to keep myself up despite the healer's lack of their level 35 job ability. Of course they immediately left after making that remark too, so my snarky reply fell on deaf ears.

I don't blame him/her tough, I blame SE. First came the Vishap nerf and then the Jump Potions. That's why we now have groups timing out on Castrum Fluminis NM and BRDs who Peloton in the midst of a pull.
I've put my Bard Songs on a single macro. Just hit the button when the song runs out to get the next one in sequence and I can keep them more or less constant. Although, I don't really use Peloton and, reading through these threads, it looks like I should be....
