Papa was a rolling stone...wherever he laid his barbut was home.
Having a server merge would be great in theory, however getting it done is another story. I think given the current server issues that the devs keep harping on it would be next to impossible. Also if you think server lag is bad now try doubling the population.
I am on the fence here. I want this game to succeed as I am a huge fan boy, but I am also a realist. I am having trouble wanting to pay for a beta....Let's be honest that is what this game will be until 2.0. Sure there will be content, but at the end of the day is it worth paying for server lag, battle latency issue? The issue for me is not a can I afford it, but should I have to pay for it in the state it is in?
Also lets get real SE is a large enough company to absorb the cost of this game for another year without asking for a subscription. They admitted they screwed up, so why should we have to pay for their screw up just to given the shareholders more profit. Once again I am a HUGE SE fan, but I am not blind to the real issues that this game currently has and will continue to have until 2.0. Anyone that thinks this game is fine just the way it is and that we are not in an extended beta phase is only deluding themselves on blind fan loyalty. Remember guys you can be loyal and honest at the same time.
Want a server transfer?
/delete char
/create new char and start from 0
Since most of you are bored because of no content vide posts, that's a great idea to keep you busy and go to your new fav server.
Kk thx
I'm just interested to know how many ppl are actually on the servers these days. I wonder if the total players online feature (that they removed, lol) will come back with the player search system.
150? Lol where do you get your statistics?/sarcasm on
I don't care if there's a server merge. It'll kill my SSO (Small Sparce Online) gaming experience?
/sarcasm off.
It is a good idea. Transfers are also a good idea.
I can't wait until they add /sea , so we can /sea all and notice that there are only 150 people on Bodhum server.
Back when the game was at the beginning all servers had a 1k-5k population. Now that the game is evolving, there is much more. When they launch the ps3 version, we will get an inflow of users that can't run the game because of crappy pcs.
No , we don't need a merger. Maybe in 7-10 years.
You don't play on Bodhum. I did a walk around head count.150? Lol where do you get your statistics?

(In case you didnt realize it, I was referring to active people logged on at one time)
BTW, it;s easy to merge servers beacuse they wont have much of a problem with duplicate character names. Moving data is simple. In the canse of dupe names all they need is an alet at logon forcing name change.

Take a look at allllllllllll the server merger threads on official forums and see how many Devs responded to them. There is your answer.
Server stability is a big problem. It'll never happen.
