Do explain why I should move when say, the first boss of Hell's Lid can put six vulnerability stacks on me and even his tank buster still won't kill me. It doesn't even bring me to half HP. So as a tank or melee, I don't even try avoiding his cleave. There is simply no point. Likewise, Kefka normal? Why disengage if he happens to do fake Blizzard? Not only is the damage negligible I can heal myself with Bloodbath and Second Wind, but the vulnerability stack falls off before he starts spamming aoes. I wouldn't do that in Savage because it actually hinders the healers. In everything else? Who cares. It's one of the biggest criticisms I have regarding most content in this game. It teaches players bad habits because so little actually has any teeth to it.

But don't let me stop you from meme-ing.

And yet I've never seen a DPS survive the cone AoE with more than one stack. They've hit the floor every time if they had two or more stacks, most die with even one. If they're just repeatedly eating the swings, then yeah, they can take a lot of stacks without getting one-shotted.

Yeah, the inconsistency of that mechanic between bosses probly doesnt help. It also doesnt get used a ton, so people can forget. Course, ive been in groups where in preperation for Calca's brace i set myself up behind the tank and put down Ley Lines shortly before the cast - only for the tank to spin them at the last second and force me to leave my lines. Im 95% sure nothing it does cleaves(and i spend most of the fight standing to one side and not behind the tank anyway), so theres no reason for any of it. Course, the dungeon is over at that point so i dont worry about it. Just hope for the mini i dont have yet, and move on.

Yeah I wish some of the inconsistency would go away. Like with tethers. The ones's I grumble the most about are the ones that look like Ifrit's/T6's. Ifrit's you have to stay close meanwhile all other tethers that look like his you normally have to break. The icons on your status bar don't give any hints either.

And yet another penalty taken. Getting much more frequent lately. Fractal HM. WAR tank doesn't even try to hold hate, so everything is playing enmity ping-pong. Sure we didn't wipe while I was in there, but seriously, if you're just trying to push your numbers to parse high and not bother actually tanking, do it with your static and keep that trash out of the DF. I will leave if I see it, even if it doesn't cause a wipe. I shouldn't have to tank half the dungeon because you just want big numbers. (This one wasn't a new player BTW, they were in very high-end gear)

Not saying it couldn't happen - I'm sure it could - but who cares about minmaxing in a dungeon pug group?

Yup, that's the GOGOGOGOGO MUST DO DPS STANCE FULLTIME EVEN ON TRASH! mentality that I am starting to really hate lately. One of the reasons why I've been doing more low level content rather than Qing for Expert these days. If I Q up as Healer I get this crazy tank that wants to "tank" (hardly) trash in DPS or if I Q up as Tank, I get this crazy healer who lets me go to 10% left before bothering to heal me.

I'd love to ask these people what. the. bleeep. is. the. fricken. hurry? Seriously. These dungeons are already shorter than many older dungeons, what more do you want? If you want nothing but a boss battle just sign up for trials instead kthx.

I'd honestly rather run Aurum Vale with a sprout who doesn't understand the concept of enmity than a minmaxing rusher. They are honestly the worst players in this game.

Agreed. Just left a Bardam's because of another WAR literally going into deliverance on the 2 packs of trash before the 2nd boss. Wiped the party before I could even get CDs up. Seriously, what is with WARs today? This isn't a world record speedrun. Not much I can do when you're going from full to dead in less than one GCD.

Meanwhile I get people getting mad because I stay in Grit on big pulls. Had a scholar actually yelling at me for, paraphrasing for politeness's sake, not trusting them to know their job. Well, no, why should I trust a complete stranger instead of using my own job's tools for survival? I'm here to get my tomes, not push my epeen.

Well, 5 wipes now against Tsukuyomi and party disbanded. Going rest and in 3 hours I try roulette trials again. Next time I hope give Cape Westwind lol
