Assuming the DRG didn't though, they were just being a jerk.

As for vulnerability stacks. I mean... if they aren't going to kill you. Why bother disengaging?

Yes, as a Brd main, I'm actually quite aware of Tact and Ref. Just because I didn't state the abilities by name doesn't mean I'm unaware of them or didn't keep an eye out for them when I saw the emnity bars growing by their names. I simply saw nothing from the Brd or Drg except for the amount of damage that they were doing. But thank you for your input.

Believe it or not, my Pld--my weakest and least favorite tank, to say nothing of my mains being Bard and Whm--usually handles that discrepancy fairly well, to the point where I usually am able to do Sword Oath for longer bursts of up-time, as well more dps rotations. The Drg didn't Elusive once during combat that I was able to witness, and the Bard didn't Tact/Ref. The only times they ripped hate was that one mob in each of three pulls where at least one of them went nuts on it before I could finish pulling. THAT, I could see (and hear) at the time it happened.

The vulnerability note in all this was like mediocre icing on on a red velvet cake made with beats, really; at that point refusing to dodge something so simple was just silly.

Did a leveling roulette as SAM and ended up in Stone Vigil.

We had a DRK with all level 1 accessories and some missing left side gear. The DRK was taking a lot of damage and not using cooldowns, and started getting snippy with the healer for not healing enough. The healer called them out for all this, then the DRK kept firing shots at the healer, telling him that he had no idea how to heal properly (our healer was a mentor). And said he wasn't willing to spend money on new accessories at low level. On the second boss, the DRK decided that it was a good idea to tank the boss right next to the cannons and have the fire breath cleave our BRD who was hitting the cannons. The BRD died of course, and at one point, I ended up taking aggro and the tank made no attempts to take aggro back and let me die. We wiped, and the healer finally had enough and kicked the tank. The healer found a new tank and the rest of the dungeon was smooth sailing.

Shoutout to the sprout bard who did awesome. He got my commendation. And the healer for giving friendly, helpful advice to the bard.

Dont talk like that, people already think us BLMS go out of our way not to avoid hits and... wait... youre a DRG? Carry on then.

Ran the Vault last night, as RDM, soon as came in the Taru PLD cried out in anguish, guess he didnt like Vault, then he cried out in bigger anguish again when healer said its his first time, then he made a strange shrill screeching sound Tarus are rumored to do, when he inspected the whm healer and saw he was bare minimal requirements with a 105 weapon or somethin.

I got 3 comms in the end, seems to happen often on my RDM cuz well.

Healer died by 50-75 percent of every boss, and I ended up healing and dpsing on RDM.....

Seems to happen often lately on my rdm....

End of that run the Taru Pld made some happy squeaky sound at me. I never can understand what these pie eating Tarus are saying, or noise they emit. Eh.

There's sense in it though- if you know you can get vulnerability stacks and still not die even if you mess up, why try to avoid them? I wouldn't agree with blindly eating damage, but if the difficulty of what you're doing is tuned so low even maximum vuln stacks won't get you one-shot then... why bother? Mind you I say this as a heal main, the person who has to baby-sit players who don't realize that death is the greatest DPS loss of all.

In most content, vuln stacks means someone takes a bigger chunk of damage and I can still avoid GCD healing them unless the next mechanic requires them to be at least kinda healthy. Most of the time I can just toss a Regen/let Eos heal and everything's smooth sailing regardless of that angry orange and black icon on their status bar. They're very rarely lethal until end-game EX/Savage, which is a problem with content difficulty tuning more than player attitudes IMO. Where do players learn not to care? In all that content that teaches them it's okay not to.

Nothing else here, but the level 1 accessories are actually pretty good for quite a while *if* you are talking about the ones I am thinking of. Sure, HQ crafted or pink rarity ones are better, but there's no guarantee you'd get them. Since you never mentioned his level in the first place, it's hard to say much beyond that.

I'm not saying anything else s/he did was okay, but the accessories aren't the issue.

Well those accessories are maybe good until level 30, but a level 41 dungeon...? Hell no. Plus missing gear, geez might as well wear nothing.

I did figure that was how the dungeon was originally designed, but now.... well, if nobody ever attacks the adds and you *can* defeat the boss in time before they break through the wall, then having one less DPS attacking the boss could now be what causes you to not defeat him in time.

But I do agree, it would be better if there was more i-level synch in leveling dungeons so strategies don't get steamrolled over in the first place. (And ideally some kind of scaling on EXP to compensate, so early dungeons are just as worthwhile as later ones if they're just as difficult. Perhaps when running roulettes, all dungeon monsters give EXP based on a percentage of the players "EXP to next level" bar rather than a fixed amount.)

I was running PotD yesterday, in a matched party, and we were having good luck getting Pomanders of Intuition from chests.... except that one of the other players kept using them when the effect was already active.

Got out of that set of floors, collected my four treasure sacks that could have been six or seven, queued for the next section.... and got paired with the same player again.

I didn't do the third set of floors.
