when initially asked if every cut scene would be voiced tanaka (i think it was him) literally laughed and said "youll have to play and see"Fully support this, I was so pumped when i heard FFXIV would have voice over cut scenes. First cut scene was epic. It was a huge let down for me to find out that there are only 5-6 voiced cut scenes in the whole game. Excluding the first cut scene, they all last 20-30 seconds, with maybe one or two words being said. Come on really?
I dont expect every scene to be voiced. *cough*Star Wars.. But it would be nice to have the Main Story scenes and Grand Company scenes be voiced.
much to everyones dismay they werent.
15 abilities each? what is this... Kindergarten?A jack of all trades WHM... what is this 1989?
I want to be able to check my retainers' inventories no matter where I am. The way I could see what I had in my mog house in ffxi without actually being there.

I'd like to see a thousand or so additional regular players per server :P

Yes this! View remotely but access only at the bells. It's a small thing but an important one. Call it your character's photogenic memory, I don't care, as long as it gets done.

Ablity to change fighting pose, or have jobs adopt a different fighting pose when switched to them.
I:e: the monk takes on a martial arts stance, different from the Pug's "boxing" stance.
Or the ability to use different poses for combat.

I love this thread! It makes me feel fluffy *hugs an Eemeefu*.
While I would love the retainers from camp, I can see it being "too good".
The voice chat could be a nice feature. It could also be taxing to implement and may have undesired social reprecussions on an international server.
For the stuff that I'm seeing here, gonna see if dev tags can get slapped on, mwee hee hee~~~
I imagine the more attention some of these items get, the better chance they have to appear on a survey/poll and/or get escalated.
in game voice chat would be nice
the ability to close all menus by closing the main menu, instead of having to lose each one individually.
some places are to bight i.e the desert at mid day. some places are to dark, deep caves/mines. could be my comp/monitor i guess. i would love to be able to adjust brightness in options. but i would go one step further and let me set it as a macro so i can change brightness quickly depending on circumstance
What I have shown you is reality. What you remember, that is the illusion.

I'd be perfectly fine with retainers at the Hamlets, maybe one of the outposts even.I love this thread! It makes me feel fluffy *hugs an Eemeefu*.

Voice chat would be nice but I think it does requires a lot of work. The ability to mute everyone or just the annoying people. Should it only be for parties and linkshells or be based on proximity. Would there be global channels to talk/listen or would we be able to create our own channels.
I'd be interested to know how other MMOs handle voice chat, if they do at all.
Lots of other good ideas in this thread already:
LS Administration
Level Sync
Company Airships/Boats
More lively and dynamic NPCs, environment

i see alot of nice suggestions, but i see 2 that i've really been wanting.
1. when crafting the ability to chat in l1 l2 while in crafting actions that way you don't have to delay responding to someone in another ls for an extended period of time.
2. a pop up like being invited to party that pops up each time something sells from your retainer from the last time you checked them. it would be nice to be in another city and then the retainers report in to say "hey, i sold this and that so i know what i need to replace"
