The problem is that it looks like they took the empire waist and tried to merge it with a basque waist and it really just... doesn't mix. Empire can be beautiful (although it does trend towards the "maybe pregnant" look, although not if it's using the right materials) and basque can be beautiful but they should have stuck with one or the other.
To explain my response, nearly every time someone makes that comment ^ they just want to shut down negative criticism, it's similar to the "if you don't like it don't wear it" point of view. Yes some people will like it and some will not, that's not exactly adding anything to the discussion.Plain and simple not everyone is going to like everything, and not every item can work the way people want them to work. But in that same aspect, some people will like many things and are ok with some items not working and make creative adjustments around certain items.
If SE change the dress for the bigger races please PLEASE don't change the lalafell dress. Skirts that sit on our natural waistline make us look very awkwardly proportioned sometimes, the higher waistline for us is perfect in my opinion.

They wont change the gear
And if you're worried about awkward proportion thats what lalafells are
The photo's I've seen make it look to me it was made for a Lala and then no one put the effort in to making it for the other races
When the Falcon mount from the campaign was first released, many complained how there were pokethroughs and how it didn't even look like the characters fit. They ending up fixing it. Not saying that it'll happen with the dress of course, but the idea isn't exactly unheard of.

Biggest difference is that the Falcon mount was in-house. These sets were made by the contractor who makes the Chinese cash-shop stuff and I doubt they'll go back to have them edit it.When the Falcon mount from the campaign was first released, many complained how there were pokethroughs and how it didn't even look like the characters fit.
