    I like the idea of new races, but I think anything that strays from the existing body shapes would be prohibitively taxing to create assets for.

    Imagine all the gear that exists in the game. All of that would have to be reshaped for the new race. Possibly twice, depending on gender differences.

    We can already see that many of the ingame items are merely stretched by formula rather than individually reshaped... While this may be true for some pieces, I feel like, past a certain point in humanoid-ness, this point gets overstated.
