    - the reimplementation of IME support. Why have an international game if you are barred from directly typing in the native language characters of most the players? It functioned in both the beta versions of XI and XIV then both retail versions it was removed. I'm not really certain why, but it makes it even more difficult to converse with Japanese players and seemingly unnecessarily so.
    Not sure why you have issues. Like the guy who replied before me, I can type in English, Japanese and even Traditional Chinese using the Windows IME. Only catch is the default SE font doesn't show all the characters available in Chinese so they show up as = signs. Japanese, no problems at all.

    My own wants...
    1) Ambient conversations
    2) NPCs with their own lives...Add night shifts with different NPCs if you want shops to be 24/7.
    3) Active mobs (predator eats prey...etc)
    4) Logical mob placements (near food, away from predators?)
    5) Voiced Cutscenes..

    Definitely agree with a lot that has been said already, especially seeing more LIFE in NPCs. I think that one ambient sound effect of people talking ought to be used at the Adventurer's Guild areas and the NPCs seeming to interact with one another a lot more with animation. But not just in the guilds, but also in the cities themselves. NPCs walking around, heading to the markets, child NPCs skipping about in the streets with friends, etc.

    Voices for cutscenes is a must for 2.0, please SE! I would have loved hearing the speeches of Rauhban, Merlwyb, and Kan-E, fully voiced. Also, maybe a minor generic greeting of sorts for npcs in town when you first speak with them, like they do in other games (can be disabled for those who may find that annoying).

    And... water properly splashing/rippling when you run/walk over them. It looks so odd whenever I run through the Black Shroud.

    Fully support this, I was so pumped when i heard FFXIV would have voice over cut scenes. First cut scene was epic. It was a huge let down for me to find out that there are only 5-6 voiced cut scenes in the whole game. Excluding the first cut scene, they all last 20-30 seconds, with maybe one or two words being said. Come on really?

    I dont expect every scene to be voiced. *cough*Star Wars.. But it would be nice to have the Main Story scenes and Grand Company scenes be voiced.
