+1 for OP, I don't know why PvP is the only game mode that has rewards that are only available for such a small number of people and such a limited time, at least savage and ultimate are always available.
I just want to say if you people can actually justify having the rank 1 trophies remain exclusive then you ALSO just made a justification for keeping top 100 rewards just as exclusive. The only difference between the two is one happens to be an actual trophy and the other "trophies" are just in the form of glamour and mounts. BASICALLY NO DIFFERENCE.
And that's what rubs me wrong about people asking for this, the people understand why trophies should remain exclusive but then they perform some pretty amazing mental gymnastics to try and justify why top 100 rewards are not the same thing.
On that note, it's just obvious that people see something shiny that they can't have or hope to get try to devalue it by making it available through the easiest ways possible. I find it just sad really. Do people not care about working hard for their rewards? Do people really think going to the gold saucer and doing their daily scratchers for the Fenrir mount is pat on the back hard work? Why should you get a reward for nothing while someone else had to one of the top 100 players?
Please people, top 100 rewards should ONLY BE FOR TOP 100 PLAYERS

I have last season’s mount and will get this season’s, I don’t care really if they would release them wider later.
Almost no one plays this mode, it’s just not fun.
As I said in the other thread about this topic, no one is trying to belittle the achievements or efforts of those that hit top 100, so why are you trying to paint it in such a light? Adding alternative method will not inherently detract from ones achievement or effort. Also as I mentioned in the other thread why should "top 100" rewards be only rewarded them? Because they are called "top 100" rewards? Okay fine SE can simply change the name. Problem solved.

"Why should only rich people be able to afford a Lamborghini. It's unfair I can't afford a Lamborghini. Oh I have a idea, let's force them to rename it to a 1998 corolla so I can afford it."
You really like to compare real life to a video game, now I see why you place such value on your in-game achievements and efforts. Remember this is a video game, same rules / logic do not apply. Even how is that even a fair comparison? I am extremely confused. Maybe I should have been more specific, in the context of the game FFXIV why should the "top 100" rewards be only for the top 100?

So you are basically making the argument that nothing in a video game should require any effort to achieve period. Duly noted sir.
Makes me wonder why you even play a game in the first place. To do nothing for something? Should there be a option for AI to play the game for us if we don't feel up to task for something we want? Should everything be available in the mogstation? If you are arguing that nothing can belittle achievement are you going to argue that RMT in Ultimate has no negative impact on the game and actual people who complete Ultimate legitimately shouldn't complain about RMT?
This is where your view on the matter falls apart. You basically say that rmt and cheating don't have negative effects on the game because people who don't cheat/rmt should only care about what they think about themselves (It's just a game right???). Which, I sincerely hope you are not saying champ.
edit: double typo, I'm pretty tired actually, my word was right the first time

Still not a valid comparison since you are making the assumption that adding an alternative means to obtain older PvP items would have a negative impact on the game mode. Do we have enough information to even make that claim? Who is the say that adding an alternative means would not have a positive impact? Everything you mentioned can be proven to have a negative impact and detracts from the game itself Context matters. How does adding an alternative method to get older PvP items detract from an already dying game mode? Context matters.

This whole argument about making them "easy" is only if they go the wolf collar route.
If they go with just cycling the old rewards back as an additional top 100 reward, it still requires being top 100 while allowing players a chance who weren't there back then to get it.
