Now with the cross server PF, making and forming raid groups, is just awful!

Are you meaning you think the party finder has only recently gone cross-world? I think it’s always been that way. They recently introduced cross-world linkshells for *communicating* across servers if that’s what you’re thinking of.

Also, why do you think people from your own server are any more likely to be skilled players than people from another?

Nah I know it's been cross server lol.
There is no repercussion for cross server party members. I mean yeah you can boot people from your group. But yeah that doesn't do much, PF is a great thing. Cross server PF, horrendous.
I just wanna know if there is a way, or if anyone knows of a quality of life feature that's coming out in the near future. Some sorta EOLA perhaps? But idek. I'm just tired of putting time into getting a raid together just to have one or two people from a different server demolish it so.

Gotta disagree with this, because cross-server PF made it possible to farm a lot of the older Ex primals back in HW when Party Finder first went cross-world; before then, on my server at least, Ex primals were not farmed very often save for the most recent one. Same with making it easier to PUG Creator Savage.

Cross-world PF is a great thing. You can’t guarantee the quality of people you find in cross-world PF, but that doesn’t mean that all players on servers that aren’t yours are bad. You can’t even guarantee that you’ll get better players from your server unless you are able to measure their skill.

Cross-world Party Finder became a thing in Patch 3.4, if I remember correctly. For a very long time it was just server-only. Which made it super painful to farm Extreme trials, especially if you weren’t on a server that did a lot of higher-end content. It’s also the reason people flocked to Gilgamesh, because most raiders were on that server (for Aether anyways) and it was easier to find statics there.

Ah, okay. I started just before Stormblood was released, so it's been that way for as long as I've been playing. Still, that's somewhere around a year since the cross-world PF was introduced then? The original post saying "Now with the cross-server PF" made it sound like he thought it was something that had just been changed recently.

Patch 3.4 was Sept 2016, so it’s going on 2 years.

Nah I just mean the majority of the playerbase at end game is becoming, worse, and less inclined to actually join/form statics.
More so recently. Since recruiting now a days is in the PF
