Why are 95 percent of healers in Eureka inept?

Just curious, I seen so many who dont even know how to target whoever is MT, MT goes down, if their is no one tank around to get threat next, Boss goes on a rampage wrecking people, then Healers and RDMs wonder why its moving around so damn much. Ive had groups that had 4 healers in it, not even throw me a single, damn, heal, that I am forced to go from Elemental Offense to Elemental Defense and throw eureka pots and Riot Combo spam to keep Clemency up on myself.

If Eureka part 2 becomes more complicated, I hope alot of these Healers who are really DPS mains gets weeded out.

They are probably half asleep or afk, or just bad players. Eureka isn't exactly sigmascape level content, and these players know it

"If I heal a Tank adds will come after me" -Eureka 20 Healer.

What is this I dont even......

My response in return to that moron?

"Oh really? Then tell you what, dont come in as a healer, infact, dont come in at all, cuz you are just leeching at this god damn point and if you rather be "Safe" and "Lazy" and have the god damn NM run around killing people, wasting time, and possibly wiping the raid cuz you and others like you have the same Mindset, then you dont god damn deserve a relic"

He left party after that, good riddance. Picked up a FCmate that actually does deserve a relic and knows how to heal and avoid adds.

I don't know about you, my friend, but I've never been in a Eureka instance where an offtank took the adds that spawn (either the ones that ppl pull in, the ones that are there, or the ones part of the fate.) You say you don't get heals because healers don't heal you, you die, and the boss rekts people? Alright. Fair enough. I've been in many, MANY instances where the bosses don't kill rekt the group. What rekts the groups are the adds that come, no one tanks them, and they target the healers first. It happens. All the time. That's actually my entire experience with Eureka. Even with Panzu and his adds. I've exclusively healed it and I don't go into it anymore because I'm sick of seeing 20 tanks wailing on the boss while adds are destroying me and everyone trying to keep them alive. I decided I had to step away from Eureka after I made a 'PICK UP THE ADDS FFS!' macro shout because I got too tired of dying and/or shouting it.

It's going to be a combination of afking/sleepyness/watching a second screen often coupled with an ingrained fear of actually healing and the almost inevitable agro that comes with it.

Granted I got to 20 in Eureka rather early and thus haven't really bothered with it since, but it didn't take me long to get very very cautious about healing anyone I wasn't sure about. Blame the terrible content design, not the healers that have to put up with it. Whilst yes, I'd make an effort on the MT, frankly no, I wouldn't touch anyone else unless I knew them and knew they weren't going to just let that add run off after me a few moments later.

People are taught to join the NM train at level 1 (even though you almost never get anything and the XP is terrible at that level) and by Level 20 they've spent hours and hours daring not to cast a single heal otherwise they suddenly pull aggro from something and die instantly. I have personally witnessed this myself; when I did my first NM train, I threw a couple heals and sure enough, BAM. Instadeath and someone telling me that I should not be healing, that I should do nothing but rez. And then I saw all the other lowbies standing near each other in some safe area.

Then they get to Level 20 and suddenly everybody's yelling at them because they're not healing when they were told they were a rez bot for the past 19 levels.

And people somehow thought that leveling solely on the NM train was a good idea? The whole place is a chain of questionable design decisions to begin with, and this is one thing I take issue with, is how the NM Train seems to be the only decent way to get levels other than the challenge logs, but the challenge logs are ridiculous grinds (they want you to kill 300+ enemies that take FOREVER to kill solo, but yet it's hard to find CL groups past Level 10 because everybody wants to jump on the train).

Willing to bet there are more healers that heal than tanks that handle adds.

I stopped healing long ago because I was just chain dying to adds and got tired of it. I dps now when I go in and still die to adds.

I think they only really tested this against the progression phase and not the "farming" one. I was an early 20 and the entire thing made a lot more sense during those first 3ish days. NMs took a while to kill so it was most efficient to farm a NM of your level and then pause what you were doing to go kill a NM someone else spawned before coming back to your own mobs.
Now, if you aren't part of the train you'll never get to the NM in time. End result is a really really boring game of netflix and tabbing out until a spawn and then doing just enough damage to get gold.
