Yoshi-P reveals the fate of Ishgard Housing, new summons, and much more

Hey guys!

I had the super awesome opportunity to interview Yoshi-P this week at E3. We went over a ton of stuff like housing, the possibility of new summons, new platforms, the Monster Hunter event, and so much more. Some of the answers may surprise as they certainly surprised me!

Well he says if they add a new housing area someday, but they currently have no plans to add a new area.

Then the author says that based on knowing that they have 2 years planned, then it means it wouldn't happen anytime soon, not even for the expansion (though this part is the author extrapolating and not something specifically said by Yoshi-P, but I would also figure this interpretation to be correct it probably won't happen in the next 2 years).

So no it's not a "no". It's a "if we ever add another area someday, it'll be Ishgard" - just no timeframe on when that "someday" might ever be.

that's the thing. "If we ever" and "someday". 2 years is a long, long time where it could happen like Shirogane, we're in a new city state and Ishgard gets pushed back again for the new city state housing area. Or they could just scrap the idea period. So I am not keeping any hope up for it until I'll see it

I was hoping to learn something about what new primal summons would be added to Summoner, but at least I know why Alphnaid and Urianger have different Carbuncle colors. That's actually one partial but of load off my mind.

As for the faeries, I wonder if he would consider adding a temporary transformation mode for Eos and Selene that would help further improve their own support capabilities. I liked how Scholar made me feel like I was working alongside my faeries in ARR and sort of now, but I wish our far had more utility added to them to make them feel less support and more partner, if you get what I mean.
