It’s to keep people subbed longer since they know their game isn’t very long or fun. The excuse that they they don’t want people to burn themselves out is a lie. Can’t burn yourself out on a fun game.

They should remove the weekly cap from the tome and just add the cap to the tome gear shop instead.
Unlimited tomes (to a max of 2000), but you can only buy 1 gear each week.
