Petition to SE - Make More Cash Shop Items Account Wide

So I just want to leave my two cents here... I'm THIS close to outright canceling my subscription. It's mostly due to the amount of money-grubbing rubbish they very blatantly make us put up with. My trust in SE is declining, and rapidly. Implementation of what's in this petition is a step in the right direction, but it won't solve everything. Yes, $18 for a single-character outfit is insane. It's justifiable if it's account-wide, but I'm not paying $18 twice. I can suffer on my alt in my dungeon gear or whatever dyeable junk my friends on the other server give me out of kindness or pity, whichever it may be. I appreciate their gifts all the same.

I may deplore the Cash Shop but I deplore the 'Single Character' system far more & therefore fully support the request for all items to be account wide.

You'd have a much better case if they went and made the expensive statues' emotes one-chara only. As it stands, minions that come with physical merchandise are bonus items that come with the purchase. People no doubt will buy it for the minion, and I'm not judging the prices for the OST either way. Just that you're making it sound like it's a $50 single-chara minion...

You should see what people pay for a pretty much needed outfits in BDO....... sure 18 dollars is still ridiculous but, other games do it far, far worse. lol.....

Other games also do it better. Warframe, a Free-to-play, has more down to earth pricing on cosmetics.

Should we not strive for a better game or simply settle because its not the worst option on the market?

In the spirit of not turning the thread into a gripefest over F2P stuff, let's say that F2P games make their money in quantity, not quality.

Every game has a limit to what they can do. I just don't believe the cash shop limits are something that is a technical problem but rather a business directive that reflects either greed or a lack of control by the FFXIV team for NA/EU/JP that KR/CN doesn't have.

KR and CN version can also buy "replica" versions of the Crafting and Gathering Lv50 and 60 gear with no class restriction for glam use. Most the items included in promotions for physical products here are also in the cash shop. KR version sells Character hairstyles outside of their bundles as a seperate purchase insert salt.

To a certain extent, CN and KR can do whatever they want, because they are not beholden to NA/EU/JP's management and business decisions other than what would likely get their license pulled. So if CN and KR are operated more like F2P games, then we should be pushing back on that kind of thing. I'm not above buying something I really want, but I have no desire to pay for the same item twice. There are things in the game that I think are not unreasonable, but that's only because I can see where the human cost is involved (eg account transfers, fantasia, dye, hair styles, skip pots, etc would otherwise necessitate creating a new character if they didn't exist) and where it clearly isn't. To which I mean, if an item is a cash shop consumable, then it absolutely must be something that can be obtained within the game still. If it's not, then it should be at the account level, and any excuse Yoshida or SE gives us tantamount to "we don't want to spend the money to make it happen."

But I'd still prefer that previous events simply are re-run by some means (maybe make that it's own thing, "previous event instances" and a roulette that goes with it.)

BDO also doesn't have a subscription attached to it. Sure, it's still... what $10 to get the game? But then you don't pay monthly unless you choose to.

FFXIV has $20 for the game, $40 for the expacs, and $13-$15 a month for the subscription, assuming you don't buy extra retainers. There are also methods in BDO to obtain a currency to use for their cash shop. If you REALLY wanted to grind it, you have the option. We don't here.
