Approximately the 14th. Confirmation by (JP time) tonight.

Good for you, I work at Microsoft. You want to hear horror stories about corporate vrs programmers. Don't sit there and tell me about one person for this and that. I work for the worst company in the world when it comes to this stuff. You just sit there with your taru and mustache whining like the fanboy you are.You assume more people makes things move faster. That is so far from the truth! Some systems can only be touched by one person at a time. You assign each individual to code a routine and then you connect them together. You can't magically add more people and make things necessarily go faster. You most certainly understand nothing about programming or else you wouldn't make such ludicrous statements.
My post is nothing but words? I worked in this industry...I think I'm more competent to speak about it then you are.
BTW you assumptions of others ignorance is baffling. You must be god, cause whatever you say is law and 100% truth, and because you worked in the "industry" no one else on the forum can be allowed to have worked in it either. So lets just assume no one else on the forum has any idea about this, even though they say or dont say they are. Gota love the internet, people can be whoever they make up to be.

US vs Japan...totally different culture and work ethic...and to be honest...I've known a fair bit of Microsoft code monkeys. Worst hardly...you haven't seen Asian country coders if you think LOL working for Microsoft is the worst.Good for you, I work at Microsoft. And what I've seen of most American coding these days it's project managers that think they are coders sending their designs to Asia to program.
I won't argue about that one.
And even still microsoft is no angel about things like this. We delayed our console update for almost a month, it comes out today and I'm not happy about how many "excited" features the new dashboard has (laughing so hard). But the delayed release is a trend thats irritating me. And in the dashboards case there was no reason for it other then to let support agents and select beta testers download it to get the feel for it. *shrug* Just really sick of see'ing this delayed, then I go to another company and see delayed, all I see this year delayed delayed delayed.

I would never word myself in the way UnrealTai did, but I agree with the bottom line. They need to re-evaluate the deadlines of the patches, because as it is, every patch is getting delayed.
Another trend I'm seeing is further delayment of the content they can't get ready, to a lettered patch.
They've also been adding in player requests enhancement from patch to patch...in a way those changes take up more time but they are trying to appeal to as many players as possible.I would never word myself in the way UnrealTai did, but I agree with the bottom line. And we have to understand that they are essentially bandages these changes on the old system. We all know the database back end is in disarray...a bad database and continual bandage only makes it more complex with each patch.
They recognized this and needed to redo the game. Until 2.0 just expect delays. With the number of changes they do post and don't post that is released from patch to patch also. And while they stretch out the end of this current storyline I wouldn't expect too much content. It'll be just enough to wet our appetites into 2.0.
In the development world we always add 2 weeks after the fact...cause something always comes up. So just assume when SE says they expect it towards this time of month add another 1/2 month. Cheers!

So how about we go back to a system where they give us no information, no time lines, no expectations. Do you like that better? they are giving us everything they can. Giving us the best ETA( ESTIMATED time of arival) and making sure not to comit to anything. Their dates are always tentative and hinging on everything going right. They do not promise ANYTHING, so are not breaking their promises.I dont really care how you feel about my post. Your post is nothing but words. What I brought up spoke of what has actually happened. Your defense is that they never gave us a release date. Wow beat around the bush, for half a year they have given us a late estimate on all of it, and at what excuse? To test more? Clearly either A) the employees are slacking or B) Corporate won't dish in and tell HR they need more employees working on the project. Regardless of A or B whoever is giving the time estimates is being unrealistic if they clearly have to delay the patch each and every time. And thats the fact. Sorry.
This is true in every aspect, however SE needs to stop telling non-programmers this date. When I get off work and jump on here I'm just a gamer again and a customer. I'm not going to act like I work there and should know whatever I get told will happen 2 weeks after the given date. Thats all I'm saying. Its irritating, especially when I tell the GF no road trip to the beach this weekend because of the new patch then end up having to go cause it didn't come out *falls over*
And above no, if your going to involve the public it needs to be more accurate information.
I'm sick of things being brushed off just because some promise was not made about it. It is the same thing as a guy stringing a girl along in a relationship or vice versa if thats easier for you to understand.
I don't think you quite understand what is being said here. For half a year the ESTIMATED dates have been off by 3 weeks, after half a year youd think they could estimate the date at least more accurately. Estimating means your trying to learn about you groups potential and your hope to hit that but need to gauge how fast the team can move. After half a year they can't estimate any better then before? Gimme a break. ^_^~

Seriously? You put this game ahead of RL and family? sad sad sad, do you not read the disclaimer up front? Maybe you should walk away for awhlie, your priorities are really messed up.This is true in every aspect, however SE needs to stop telling non-programmers this date. There is a tactful way to say things...and a way that makes you come across as a _______. As they say it...read what you type before you send. When all you have is words to say and you say it in ill form, your reception is lost to the masses. Language 101. It's not the number of words but the power of the words.
