I wouldn't mind them locking some glamour hairs, if we got them on top of the usual stuff. When we got the PoTD hair we still got two hairs in that patch, and they always say that PVP gear is handled by the PVP team, so why did we not get hair added to the aesthetician as well? It was very disappointing. Where did the dev time for our usual stuff go, because it really doesn't feel like we got all that much this patch to warrant them not giving us our usual hair.

However, my irked comment was largely due to the fact that in the patch notes they said "hairstyles," plural, would be added in the new patch. It has the 2.X icon next to the note indicating that they would be available for players who only have ARR. I know they don't have the ponytail style pictured there, but it still seems like there should be more hairstyles. We only really got one added for everyone, so they should have said that they added one hairstyle. Singular.
I think I'd be less annoyed had they kept it at that. At least we'd know what we were getting. They got people's hopes up.

As far as what to do in the new content... run it with friends for the fun of it? That's why I play anyway. If it's not fun, why play?

I think that means it's compatible with 2.0, not necessarily available in it.

The hairstyle from PotD is tradeable and can be sold on the marketboard. If the hypothetically-from-HoH one is the same, someone with only ARR could purchase it and use it, even if they can't access the content where it was originally sourced.

Which hairstyle are you talking about? The one from patch 4.3 can be bought with PVP seals, if that's the one you meant *thinking*

i don't think We should be handed hair styles though we should have to buy them or earn them in someway

You aren't, I'm afraid.
Though, personally I've always been a fan of short hair, and pvp to boot, so the arrangement worked out fine for me.
