Crafted vs Mendacity

There exists some cases (looking at you tanks) where the crafted accesories are absolutely better then the tome ones.
Normally main stats outweight substats in case of Ninja Dexterity. What you could always do is go to the Ariyala Website and make 2 builds, one with crafted accesories and one with Mendacity and then compare.
Myself i have a mix of Mendacity and Diamond which is bis, but in case you do not raid crafted should be fine.

It's true that tanks get the most out of crafted accessories, because 370 ones only give +1 STR per item.

BUT it's also the case for healers and proc-jobs like BRD, and certain other ones.
E.g. for healers: if both high item-level variations have PIETY on them, and crafted ones got CRIT+DET, then pentamelded crafted ones are slightly better. The addional usefull secondary stats outweight the main stat loss.
Same for BRD if they get no CRIT from tome/savage items.

But don't get fooled, some of the best players have different sets with and without pentamelded gear, the different is about ~0.1% (except for tanks) so you will most like not even notice anything when switching gear to the "better" pentamelded version. And, if you ain't playing meta comp, you'll probably do less with crafted.
