On the subject of certain unappealing traits in characters, as long as its done to actually flesh out the character in a believable manner instead of just a way to invoke certain emotions just for the sake of emotions, I'm fine with it. Ramza's racism is not one of those times.

Tbh I find his racism beign in line with his pedigree, while his father is a moderate and so are some members of the troupe, he's still a garlean and they do have a superiority complex over the other races.
The company Thespian, while not beign straigthforward racist he's still approves the garlemand espantionist ideas of "saving" the other races and when the big revelation about Goug comes

he starts scoffing the conquest of Dalmasca as a return to home

It is of my opinion that most of the empire citizens are beign written as having some sort of savior complex and make no mistakes, the populares might not be for war but as far as we know they are simply using politics instead of warmachines to conquer the lands.

I stand by those words. If people are getting up in arms over a fictional character then they should definitely reconsider the sort of games that they choose to play. Hydaelyn, as a setting, isn't a particularly pleasant place to live - all sorts of problems plague it and that is the appeal for a lot of players. It isn't to everyone's tastes but the developers have made it clear time and time again that they're not afraid to explore such themes and they do not pull any punches in the process.

What does this have to do with the topic at hand which is fetch quests? lol

No, but it was utterly pointless. It ground the story to a halt for no good reason. Yes, I know we had to wait for the details of our raid on Ridorana to be sorted out by the parties involved (except for us), but considering the WoL can relay the events of an entire expansion within the frames of a single /converse animation and a camera pan up we really shouldn't have had time to scour La Noscea for a bottle of wine.

No it wasn't a big deal. The only issue I had was having to repeat it for my 7 alts but over all it didn't take all that long to unlock.
