Since it's "marriage" there's like a part of my brain that wants it to be some special thing with a special person, even if it's just in a dumb game.
Maybe someday I'll get over that and get the dang glamour.

Oh I know. I feel pretty positive that it's increasing over time though and we should have 50% sooner or later
Looks like we found the alpha nunh. Multiple husbands at once

Needed a response for "The whole thing is creepy as shit unless it's an IRL couple and I wouldn't do it either way."
All I'd really require is someone with a male character I really get along with who plays regularly (my character is female and I prefer the age old definition of marriage to the new one, no offense to gay people, I just prefer one way over another just as they do) but since its the CHARACTERS getting married I don't care what gender they are in real life.
The most interesting part about all of this is how much it actually DOES seem to matter.. well, for men anyway. All I'd really require is someone with a male character I really get along with who plays regularly (my character is female and I prefer the age old definition of marriage to the new one, no offense to gay people, I just prefer one way over another just as they do) but since its the CHARACTERS getting married I don't care what gender they are in real life.
I'd argue that it's only creepy if you treat it as an irl commitment, like limiting yourself only to your actual partner. Having one collection of pixels get married to another collection of pixels ought to be for fun and nothing else, imo.
Lots of people see Eternal Bond as a step when it comes to a possible RL relationship. The bad part is that it's usually one-sided and the other party doesn't know about it or even want it.
But when both people are interested in each other it's not strange at all to see the game marriage as the start of some kind of commitment. Not to me at least. It's how long-distance relationships tend to go. It's also a visual/mental thing. People might attach the character to the person they fell for.
