Confused about people's obsession with open world raids/dungeons.

We can have and should have non-instanced dungeons.
If you don't like the non-instanced stuff, nothing is stopping you from simply NOT bothering with it.
The loot should also be much better than anything else.

though I agree with you I don't think all open world gear/treasure/whathaveyou should always be better than instanced. Maybe comparable? Or some BiS item come from while other come from the other? Or both could be BiS depending on the situation.

The last part was just to incite rage. I would like the loot table to be dispersed among a numerous amount of content however. If you really want the best of the best; you definitely will not mind having to compete with other people. At least I'd like to think so.

Totally agree. I want the best of the best and have no problem competing for it, but seems some people want the best and want it gift wrapped and presented to them on a silver platter though
