did it yesterday after finishing MSQ. I had to try multiple times to get mine to spawn as I got a 'no more targets can be spawned' message. died loads of times. as a WHM I got a @kindness of strangers' achieve or two. Great fun.

I had nightmares about it last night.
I got it done early yesterday morning before the rush hit, but I spent quite a bit of time there yesterday and have almost completed the final "Kindness to Strangers" achievements. It seemed like several rezzers were playing their own mini game of who can rez the fastest / snipe rezzes from others. Had a lot of fun with it.

I thought it was pretty amusing. Definitely something a little bit different. When I did it, it was maybe 20 minutes or so after the patch went live, so me and the others that were there just gathered the chocobos and AOE’d them into oblivion. I didn’t stay to watch the cutscene though because others started showing up after mine were killed, and I didn’t want to join the chocobo bodies littering the floor. I’ll go back and watch it at a later date.

Well, i did it with some friend... It was dirty... Asking people to pull away and no one move... asking again... again... they all stay in the purple circle, everyone AOE on take other people chocobo...
switching to Pal, rush in, AOE voke, Hallowed ground, flash, circle, running away with all the bo, friend pop chocobo and take them away.
Not very nice but if people don't want to coop...

Very fun to watch and do, will definitely chill at that spot later and rez people

I tried it earlier and was completely unprepared for the amount of damage those Choco Meteors did and died pretty quickly. When I returned, there were like 4 sets of them there and I swapped to WHM and healed/rezzed people to help them out. xD
Afterwards, I swapped back to tank and took them down with the leftover people. I have to say it is pretty fun. One of my FC members that had showed up to help ended up staying there just to kill off other people's Chocobos
10/10, would do again.

honestly that has been the best thing to happen to the game. not only did it provide entertainment for me and a friend while farming tiger skins; i went back later and helped people get through it and it was cool seeing people really try and help each other out, when they werent dead anyways...
A few healers including myself hung about and one tank tried to keep order to the mob of chocos. It's not often you can see people actually willingly helping each other in such a way.

I thought it was pretty fun. I was semi-shocked when I actually died, cuz that hasn't happened in an overworld fight in a long time. Mostly cuz I didn't respect how much damage 5 overlapping choco meteors would actually do to my WAR. Fortunately because it was a chaotic mob, my chocos were still aggro'd on somebody else and didn't despawn, and someone was kind enough to raise me. So then it was just a matter of sniping the chocos with quest markers above their head while avoiding AoE circles for a few minutes. Then I hung around for a bit afterward killing some more that were below 50% already.
It definitely felt more like a community event in that regard, as opposed to a banal sidequest battle. Which makes it more memorable IMO. Anyone playing catchup with the content, even one month from now, isn't going to have the same experience... which is a shame.

Yep...I did it as my warrior too.... "I got this"
30 seconds later ded
"Well.....ok, I don't got this..."
