Huh. I wonder how "DPS dying on pulls" is the healer's fault. Basically all trash AoE is dodgeable (DPS for not getting hit) and if the DPS was taking hits from the enemies themselves, that's on the tank.

I'm guessing either dualboxing or friends.

Tank did fine, what gets me, is the red mage mainly died from standing in AOE's.Which is why the bard asking the tank to pull small made no sense to me, even in small pulls if you stand in AOE's you still take damage

I was running DR Leveling the other day, and we got Amdapor City and our tank is Warrior would not use Defiance throughout the enter dungeon. The tank dies immediately because apparently his armor is absolute garbage, and by garbage, I mean none of it is 50, it is all below 50 with a sprinkle of a dungeon gear or two. When we finally got to the fight with Diabolos, the idiot finally whips out Defiance and even then his health increase was just a piddly 100 hp over my own.

I had to explain Diabolos mechanics cause apparently none of the party knew what to do, we wiped naturally cause no one opened the other door that I marked when the fight started, the second attempt they listened to me and we won.

I am sorry but if you are a tank, and you are 50 or above, you should not be running around with level 1 rings, and level 30 armor with a level 40ish axe, how you even managed to get this far into the game is beyond me.

This isn't really about anything in particular, but learning DRG, and when you lose Blood because the last mob available dies to an execute move (Assassinate, Misery's End, etc.) RIGHT as you're about to land Fang and Claw to extend the duration.

Possibly, but even with hardly touching it and a two month gap since January I'm still feeling frustrated with it. I don't know if it'll resolve as long as WHM stays stagnant.
And not OP, but it'd certainly help being able to play without feeling like your choice is hindering the group...

I think this DRK only used FATEs, Level 50/60 roulette and Alliance Roulette to level up :T

I did almost exactly that with a few classes I dislike playing (DRK MCH MNK). But take out 50/60 roulette and add in SB beast quests and hunt marks. But I never would've been so bold as to take any of those three into the DF for anything over level 60.

So I decided to do a bit of levelling my WHM last night, dinged 45, and got over excited cos I knew ... HOLY!!! I've been waiting all my 45 levels for this moment.

Ran off to job quest, got it, and then luckily enough jumped in Dzumahskfhsxyz11!110xxz2?:! Darkhold on roulette. I'm an AST main for over a year now, so I'm used to Gravity. I assumed Holy worked in exactly the same way. So with blind happiness I started my Holy frenzy feeling pretty pleased with myself and mah boom boom crash boom fancy new spell. Then ...

DRG: Holy only works when you're in the middle of the mobs
ME: *stares at screen* Err ... like Miasma II?
DRG: Yeah

That was 4.5 years ago, and I've been a WHM main ever since. But I'm still embarrassed by that thread.

Shout out to anyone and everyone who has grouped with me while I'm on my SAM. I die a lot on boss fights. Positioning is everything and I'm used to playing casters, so I always get taken out by a cleave or something.

I'm so sorry. I think I might need to stick to my RDM where I play much better.

been grouped up with a lot of PLDs while leveling.

My advice to them is... USE FLASH! FOR THE LOVE OF GOD, USE FLASH!

I played as bard. In the dungeon,the other DPS pretty much didn't do anything (auto attack), stayed in aoes, etc. Tank questioned them, turns out they had a kid they had to take care of (I honestly wouldn't dng until my nieces went to bed, but that's me), people gushed, blahblah, that's fine. Meanwhile, I'm busting my ass to DPS harder while keeping up buffs and whatnot for tank/heals/etc. It's a little rougher/slower because less DPSing. Other DPS LB'd in the last boss, stood in aoe of course, I put palisade on their ass so they didn't die before the LB, and they literally lived by one HP and got the LB. And yenno, I was fine with this because I felt pretty damn good about my performance. xD

Did I receive even one comm for busting my lady balls?
