But now people will run on their most geared/skilled job which means less wipes and faster runs. I would take more enjoyable gameplay over glamour/alt gear that's slightly easier to get. If you want I'lvl on your main, cap your tomes or run savage. I mean your getting I'lvl just by completing the raid since you can upgrade your tome gear.

You guys are thinking of this change in the wrong way. Alliance raids are a S-show the majority of the time, partly because people are playing jobs that they are undergeared/uncomfortable on just so that they can need loot. I'm not saying that every run is gonna be flawless now, but I would think it will be overall more enjoyable. Let's be real, you won't be getting any loot if it's a 24/7 wipe fest.

You know what I'm looking forward to? Being the tank or only ninja in the party and asking if I can have a piece of gear that I need as an upgrade to what I'm currently wearing and some jerk rolling on it just to troll so I can't have it. This is why SE's brilliant idea is asinine and they really need to reverse this change.

People have been doing this sort of thing forever but now, with everyone greeding...i could see it being worse. Let's not even mention how bad the drop rates are for some gear to begin with.

The Alliance raid is a wipe for the first week when not enough people know the mechanics. It goes back to a wipe fest if there's little to no reason to do it regularly anymore, which is also caused by not enough knowing the mechanics.

People make it sound like now 24-raids will be a cakewalk. They won't be. Being on your main - which we still don't have a guarantee people will do - does not mean people will abide by mechanics, does not mean people are actually good at their main, does not mean they won't be using this raid to gear up in the first place and therefore will come in with subpar gear.

You could always run the job you wanted and still face infinite amount of wipes. Hence why the joke. You seem to be forgetting you now won't just be fighting the poor rng on loot drops but the greed as well. Alot of people just roll for the sake of rolling if they don't get the drop they want in X number of runs. Now, there's zero point to keep rerunning it (with randoms) if other people can greed on it. Like in my example, I could use a few pieces for my main tank to tide me over while i collect some more tomes and the like. I now have to fight 7 other people for that one piece...... Why would I tank it ever again?

This is why my FC is choosing to run this as much as possible as a group so we can allocate gear correctly. But it shouldn't have to be like that. Not everyone has an FC or group of friends to consistently run content like this just for one gear drop.

I believe the greed only would be great for the old raids, including the now old RC. Any new raid, should not face this all greed shenanigans. Wiping has never been due to class, but a failure of knowing the mechanics of the game in general regardless the class played. I can main a healer but be the worst healer in the game and cause numerous wipes. Main's mean zilch.

I definitely understand where you are coming from. Mechanics are a thing. But I still think overall it will be better. A large majority of players will just want to faceroll the content and come on their i260+ mains that they are use to playing. I would take these types of players over ones that don't know their rotations + trying to do mechanics. Thats a bad mix and probably causes the majority of wipes. Not to mention slow DPS.

I still by my point that forcing players on a job that they are less comfortable playing just so that they can press need on glamour/alt gear was never a good idea for 24 man's. It only caters to wipe fests and people flaming other people
