    Thinking about this in the long term rather than what we get right now... if there are going to be five stages of Eureka, would you rather have to upgrade all your relic gear five times, or three times?

    I mean we are fine with having x amount of relic steps so having to upgrade your gear too would be fine too imo. I mean people are not forced to upgrade them through that. But I am not sure if we get five stages (even if the elemental names kinda point to it) because that would either mean that we go way further with the 4.x patches or have Eureka even go into the next expansion which would be a bit odd. (Because they would suddenly make it a lvl 80 content or something like that)

    A: In older MMOs, such as Ultima Online, there was a house maintenance fee you had to pay weekly, but in FFXIV: ARR we decided against this system. Similarly, these older MMOs also had a system where your house would break down if you didn’t log in after a while in order to have you continue your subscription, but this is a thing of the past and we won't have any system like that.
