The current issue is that clipping aquariums together can cause them to be deleted.

The potential solution that they might implement sometime down the line (not with the patch) could cause all furnishings that are overlapping/clipping to be deleted. I sincerely doubt they'd actually go through with this fix, but even if they do, I'm sure they'll give some warning. For the time being, we don't need to worry about most furnishings clipping, but after the patch hits do not clip aquariums through each other.

The current issue is that the English translation team is really bad at their job. Since you can't place multiple aquariums until after 4.3 hits on Tuesday, whatever happens with that isn't a current issue, it's a known issue for a future patch.

Okay, let me be more clear:

    Currently: No issues at all
Once 4.3 goes live: There will be an issue with aquariums, where if you clip two aquariums together they may be deleted. SE recommends against trying this.
At some unknown time after 4.3 goes live: SE may introduce a fix to the aquarium issue, but the fix may cause any overlapping furnishing to be deleted when the fix goes live. This fix is not going to happen until after 4.3, if it happens at all.

At this point in time there is no need to panic about furnishings getting deleted, but I would keep a very close eye on the Lodestone to find out if and when they're going to release the aquarium fix. The only thing we actively need to worry about for the near future is clipping aquariums together, which can cause them to be deleted. Everything else is safe until the aquarium fix is added later, if it's added at all.

Pardon my butting in here, but unless you're part of the dev team, I'm really not willing to take as factual your interpretation of the same text that we're all interpreting right now.

    1) Multiple language versions reference this in different ways, so even if we've parsed the English one exactly, it doesn't match what the other languages are saying.

    2) The patch notes say "when the fix for this issue is implemented" not "if". So unless somehow you have information we don't have, trying to reassure people that "if it's added at all" is unhelpful.

I think most of us have a relatively decent grasp of the English language, and the end result is that the wording here is seriously ambiguous - "All furnishings, including aquariums" can mean only what's involved in the bug, or it can mean all. And given that some people, including myself, have spent days working on elabourate housing that involves a great deal of clipping and glitching, I think it's perfectly reasonable that people be concerned.

Feel free to chime in and add your interpretation, but telling people that they're worrying for nothing is a little high-handed. Even though I'm well aware that the fix is not scheduled for 4.3, they do plenty of random hotfixes - sometimes with little notice - and the fact that there's a chance at all that I might lose my house (or 90% of its furnishings) is incredibly worrying.

The only thing the English version is unclear about is whether the currently known issue only effects aquariums, or if it effects all furnishings. The other language versions make it clear that this issue will only effect aquariums. I'm seeing a whole lot of people who are confused and still think that this issue will effect all furnishings, and/or that it is an issue that currently exists (before 4.3). For most of my post all I'm doing is just re-wording what's been stated to try and help people who misunderstood things understand them better, since SE seemingly didn't do a good enough job of it themselves.

Okay, fair enough, I am definitely editorializing when I imply that they might not go through with the fix. Their language clearly states that it will happen, but I feel like they couldn't be so monumentally stupid as to actually go through with it, and I let that feeling come through in my post. I apologize for adding to the confusion.

If people want to be 100% safe, they should absolutely start making sure all of their furnishings aren't clipping through each other. There very well could be an unannounced hotfix after 4.3 that destroys everyone's furnishings. Personally, I think the odds of that are extremely low, and I'm not going to bother doing anything until we get more information.

Someone mentioned the French version is more vague, like the English version:

I had a look at the FR version of the notes (I'm French) to see if it's clearer in other languages.

"Nous vous prions de ne pas reproduire ce problème, car les meubles occupant un même espace sont susceptibles de disparaître de façon permanente."

It says: please do not reproduce this problem, as furniture ("meubles" means furniture in general, they don't narrow it to aquariums at this stage) which occupy the same space are likely to disappear in a permanent way.

They straight forward talk about furniture occupying the same space ("meubles occupant le même espace"). I'm worried now because that could be anything.
So while some, like German, specify, both English and French don't, which is why we're asking for clarification about exactly what is included.

I appreciate that you're trying to calm panicked nerves, but everyone - including you - is just interpreting what's there and guessing at potential meanings... which is why we need this clarification and why we're asking for it to begin with!
