Guess this only apply to DPS and Healers? You realize the Tank job is there to tank and have the highest enmity? So you are also not doing your job if u let the mob run loose because "use diversion/lucid" or die attitude"
I love the official forums, they tell you to use the search for thread about what you wanted to talk but when you use it they judge for necro a thread.
I could have worded that better. It's relative to the line before the quote
because he wants a good opener, and he most likely knows what his numbers are. To a lot of people, performing 100% as a DPS and seeing high numbers is fun. I'm a HC raider, I have nothing against ACT or anything like that.Originally Posted by AkashiXI

Given some people say stuff like "this healer didn't play perfectly so i shirked them" in this thread, its hard to tell when someone's coming across as humorous or petty.
Fair enough. But it also reflects on a tank who cannot hold enmity on a bursting RDM because of deeps. Even at the start of the fight, unless the boss was prepulled, there's no reason why a tank in tank stance cannot hold the enmity lead in the first 30 seconds of a fight. But... That's probably an argument for another thread that will eventually pop up.

So I decided to do a bit of levelling my WHM last night, dinged 45, and got over excited cos I knew ... HOLY!!! I've been waiting all my 45 levels for this moment.
Ran off to job quest, got it, and then luckily enough jumped in Dzumahskfhsxyz11!110xxz2?:! Darkhold on roulette. I'm an AST main for over a year now, so I'm used to Gravity. I assumed Holy worked in exactly the same way. So with blind happiness I started my Holy frenzy feeling pretty pleased with myself and mah boom boom crash boom fancy new spell. Then ...
DRG: Holy only works when you're in the middle of the mobs
ME: *stares at screen* Err ... like Miasma II?
DRG: Yeah
ME: F**k me. Thanks xD

lol, awww! I had the reverse realization. My main is a WHM, and I was SO THRILLED when I learned that gravity could be cast from outside the danger zone.So I decided to do a bit of levelling my WHM last night, dinged 45, and got over excited cos I knew ... HOLY!!! I've been waiting all my 45 levels for this moment.

There are two separate issues here. I personally agree about lazy tanks. If I'm riding a tank's back for aggro and the tank is in dps stance and refuses to use a single enmity combo even after provoke, I'm likelier to use Manaward + Triplecast rather than Diversion + Lucid Dreaming. So on that front I can actually relate. But if we're talking about an under-geared tank whose only crime was simply not putting up a countdown and still got no aggro management from their RDM, that's a different story.

I find it weird how you'll say a tank is lazy for not using a combo that's detrimental to the tank, over pushing a button that's literally free for you and, in some cases, expected and anticipated to be used. There are two separate issues here. I'll do the extra enmity combos as needed in DF content, but if I do 2 or 3 in a row and someone rips hate... at that point I did all I'm willing to do and they can eat the tankbuster that they really want. I'm not going to shed a tear for their death.
