Can't call any of the stuff before 2.0 content. More like filler or fluff for those who hang around. Personally having one NM added doesn't really strike me as content. Something like tiered fighting similar to sky, sea, salvage, limbus, etc. seems more like content to me and we certainly won't have anything like that until 2.0. Hamlet defenses and some new dungeons would give you something to do but will probably be replaced by the next 'content' patch anyway. No reason to cry about it as the team is forking out these patches to fix the foundation of the game which is really all that's important at this time. Look at the last 'content' patch we had with darkhold. Who actually runs that anymore with all the strongholds now? Or with ifrit? The gear from strongholds are far better and you can even xp 40+ doing it. No reason to spend excess resources on 'content' that will get scrapped.
I for one can't wait for stupid things to get patched like a delivery box, 8 trade slots, stupid lag between menus. How about changing my gear when I change my class? Making food useful to fix culinary and give people a reason to fish again. The list goes on for a while and almost all of it they said they're working on or fixing. What more do you want from them? The game failed and they're fixing it but it doesn't happen over night. 2.0 will be the deciding factor. Until then the only reason to stick around now is to 'get ahead' or 'bragging rights' that you stuck the game out or of course just to play with friends though server populations are dwindling still.
1.20 will be pretty interesting. I'm not happy that they're totally removing debuffs and THM doesn't even get a cure type spell but we'll see how it works. It'll be interesting for everyone to relearn their classes and see how the game flows now. Not happy about the pay to play and might take a break myself but we all knew it was coming eventually. Not like they're going to hold out until 2.0 for payment.
I never really played WoW aside from the trial a couple times, so correct me if I'm wrong, but I think he's referring to the gear rating index people started being elitist about after it was implemented. If your gear score wasn't up to par, you would get the boot or denied a spot in whatever raid that people were putting a group together for. Again, not 100%. Someone correct me if I'm wrong or tell me if that's correct.
