I prefer the numbers to the suffixes.

I would prefer them too if they were consistent, even on a job by job basis. Until SB, BLMs numbering was consistent, but then suddenly the tier 4 thunder spell is an aoe instead of a single target, unlike the fire/blizzard counterparts.
