Doesn't change the fact tanks need to use their Fing CDS. It's freaking stupid they can not use them and people DEFEND them!!!! Like how is it MY fault and I need to learn cause your tank can't hold hate AND doesn't know what a CD is? The whole dungeon was him losing hate to everyone and the sun. Not using cooldowns making my job as a whm even harder cause I had to baby sit him on heals. and I did this with no wipes AND while still dpsing and most likely the highest DPS in the dungeon too. And then to tell me I shouldn't be in higher content and leaving before anyone can say anything .... groan. People like that make me hate people in this game so much. I see why healers in this game are so judgemental and pissed all the time. The tank was so bad it'll been better if he wasn't there. THATS how bad he was. But yeah, that hit my rage meter extra fast.

Got a whiny BRD who wanted me to pull the entire dungeon in Shisui yesterday. He told me after some pulls to aggro more but told him I wasn't gonna do it because the mobs hit pretty hard in that one (though that might only be with me).

Before the second boss, he decided it would be fun to pull some packs but hey, "You pull it you tank it." Which led to this exchange.



After the fight he tried to whine some more about how we couldn't survive without the healer or how difficult my job was...to which I responded "Gonna need bigger baits than that."

Speaking of the Healer, he encouraged me to pull more, stating I was doing fine but respected my wish, compared to the BRD.

Needless to say I was laughing a bit

Someone provides the friendly reminder to not burn fast and be sure to clear the gyres or we're doomed.
Party successfully clears gyre mechanic.
Nobody activates the converter.

Followed by a "burned too fast" wipe, and a "we just barely cleared this with one man standing" after the party gets wrecked by standard AoEs and splashing overboard.

I hope SE never stops making trials that will forever burn players expecting old content = faceroll content.

Yet another moan from me about people ignoring adds, and just wailiing on the boss without bothering to check if the healer is ok >.> Again, I got no problems on focusing dps on the boss, but I'm on BLM and see everyone ignoring the healer taking an unnecessary pummelling... yes he/she can dodge/hit sprint, I don't give a flying fart if it shaves a few seconds off the boss, as a BLM I gonna use those aoes to protect my team, ESPECIALLY the person who keeps us alive >.> I did get a commendation though, which was surprising, I wonder who that was?

My girlfriend got a 12-day suspension for saying "fan-f***ing-tastic" as a joke once. That was the only thing in her post. Since anyone can look at posts and this is the official XIV forum, they don't take swearing lightly as it looks bad. It's just a matter of if your post gets reported or not, most of the time people don't bother so it goes under the radar.

Shisui hits like a truck. It's one of those dungeons I'm always cautious about big pulling until I see how the healer can handle those first couple of packs. If they're struggling to keep me alive, or (god forbid) I have to Hallowed Ground, then the pulls are small. If I know the healer and know they can keep me up, I'll do bigger ones but even then it's still a bit dicey if your DPS aren't up to par.

That BRD needs to go through that as a new healer and have a tank do mega wall-to-wall pulls. That's what happened the first time I ran that on AST (at level) and it was terrible.

I got a 7 day ban for implying someone's actions could make him look like an a-hole. I was a bit surprised about that one as it was such a mild comment, and I don't have a history of flying off the handle or cursing up a storm in my posts. Sometimes you get lucky, sometimes you don't!

Disregarding the BRD (because who cares about him now ?), the only time I did "big pulls" was with the two packs, each placed behind a curtain, right after the first boss. That makes 6 mobs in total, then the two packs that come aftewards (before the second boss) where some archers are shooting at you which also amounts to 6 mobs.

At the beginning, I think you can try and pull the two first packs but the last one before the first "water-spring" summons new mob so safety might be required.

After the second boss I don't think you can do big pull as you need to kill the packs in order to open a barrier...I think ? I never paid attention

You can pull the big blue crab up the ramp to the pack of three up there but it's kind of pointless in my opinion because he has a large AoE that he casts that can be annoying to deal with while also having bombfish spawning literally on top of you.

In general I have seen double pulls in Shisui work out just fine but I definitely think that BRD needed to chill. If I'm healing a dungeon and know I can take more I'll let the tank know (like your healer did) but just like I wouldn't want to by pushed out of my comfort zone I wouldn't want to do that to someone else so I think that BRD should go eat a bag of sea cucumbers.

Big blue crab BOI

About the crab, I prefer to have the whole party focus on it as he is a very tanky blue boi.

As for how big the pulls can be, I try to see with the healer if we can agree on a "size" in certain dungeons.
For example the normal version of the Tomberry dungeons ? I tell them I'll do big pulls because of the need to run away from the big tomberries and ask them if they're okay with this.

Same for the dungeon with SLOPPEH at the end with all the packs right before it.
