It is cool when this happens but character is not a GM lol. GM wear red armor and have "Rep" as a first name. That symbol is just affiliation i think. Urianger had the same symbol and he was automated. Also met that writer from the raven newspaper in the adventurer's guild of gridania, she was not automated but had the same symbol.

No, these are definitely GMs. They're GMs in character though, so they don't really fulfill any GM duties while in character. That symbol designates them as a GM however they are currently playing a specific character for the sake of the story. When you see Urianger as an NPC, he no longer has that symbol.
