Does any other BLM players hate it or get confused when they're in a dungeon, trial, or raid party and you get a DRG (maybe even several as I've been in a Sigmascape normal Kefka run that had two DRGs, one BLM (myself), and a MCH), and you watch the DRG (hoping that they'll give you their "best friends forever" tether) and instead...they give it not to the monk, not to the summoner, not to any other melee or ranged class....but to the tank(s).

My favorite is when the DRG is using a macro for their tether, and it goes to the non-DPSing healer. I’m like ????

I'm just gonna plain say almost every game with someone from Odin(EU) in it makes me almost cry. There seems to be nothing to please them. Everything you try to do (or do) is wrong, everything you don't do is wrong too. Being humorous doesn't work either. All seems wrong. It's kinda depressing to mainly have experiences which consist of get hit with as much elitism (or just hostility?) as possible. All that by just one server's folk. Man, what is happening over there?

Odin is one of the main raiding servers in EU. I used to be on that server. Left due to other reasons, but can assure you it wasn't most of the Odin playerbase (unless it drastically changed since I left). Sorry to hear you've been running into the bottom of the barrel with the server though.

Thanks for condolences. I'm usually a nice guy who does into DF with positivity in mind and do what my job can do to assist the team, not what others want me to do. Sadly, most bad exp is tied to just to ppl of said server, with increasing frequency lately. The worst are the ones who flame you for things like using AND not using LB on non-boss enemies. Then you get dismissed for doing either of the two. I wish there was a server block for cross-world party.

You do tend to get a run now and again of bad players from certain servers. I was convinced for a time omega had the dregs of humanity on it they were consistently awful. Now, not so much. Zodiark players and fellow louisoix players always seem really nice. Just luck I suppose and who you get dumped in with on that dungeon.

ShinEx learning party last night. Four of us had never done it at all, and five hadn't cleared it. After a couple of false starts (someone came to an advertised learning party expecting to get a kill on the third attempt?), we got this great WAR who invited everyone to his Discord for callouts, and combined with the RDM who started the group to help us clear (hi Moro!), was super patient. They even accommodated my "I can't have a marker for phase 3 on my head because I can't see the tail marker in phase 1" frustration.

And with 21 minutes on the timer, we started another attempt to get the clear. Go team!

Just wanted to put it out there because while PF is sometimes a crapshow, there's also some really awesome people in there.

While certainly no server is save from potential dregs, it becomes conspicious that there's something not right on a server when like 90% of matched folks acts like total D's especially in DF. And that multiple times in a row, on the same day. However, on your point to Omega, I gotta admit there can be quite a big ratio of hardcore RPers (and furries, IYKWIM) as I noticed - who might not care as much about effective gameplay.

There are lots of people who don't care/know how to go about effective gameplay. Whether that's because they are 90% asleep, have run the instance a millions times(yes, exaggeration), are trying to be trolls, or just don't know better, it's sometimes hard to tell....especially since not all sprouts are truly "new", some might be an alt.

this shin ex pt was doomed from the start... first pull, our sch can't stay alive very long into p1. we replace and go back in. everyone is doing pretty well until p3 where we have a few deaths but everyone gets up. we plug away until reiryus, then half our party is wiped out (from what, idk tho). blow an lb3 to raise everyone, it's time to hop on the wings but we have no lb! obviously we wipe, then the tank catches an attitude, says "i hate this group.", blames the dps and leaves. typical of pf fashion, everyone leaves after and my friends and i have a laugh about "i hate this group." it's our meme now.

That's pretty bad. You didn't need LB to kill the wings in i330 gear, let alone i360+ gear.

To be fair, if you're not in position to get the tether I'm not going to move to give it to you. On the topic of giving it to the tank, I've asked numerous DRGs over the months to give me tether. if I'm 1st or second highest DPS it goes to me not the NIN/RDM who is sustained 2k DPS in a dungeon. Some DRGs even do this natively without me saying anything because they're in the know.

I love PF sometimes. Especially 1st week "learning parties". When people are on the same page it's a nice touch. It's especially why I like learning parties, it removes the I'm trying to get carried to a clear people. Once in a blue moon someone gets confused (clicked on wrong pt, or can't read english).

However, a lot of "clear" parties have a minimum of 1 person who doesn't truly belong.

When I was running as DRG, 9/10 the BLM is off in Narnia so the only logical choice is to give it to the tank who is right there, on the other side of the boss/mob, and not going to be running off to who knows where. If there was a melee DPS, I would give it to them(if they weren't going to be running off to Narnia to visit Aslan). The majority of the time, the DRG chooses the person who will stay close enough to not break the tether.
