20 outdoor items only for small house?!

Mailbox (default) and Teleport should be built in. If people want to place a custom teleport of mailbox fine but they should not force use to use 2 spots for these necessities. That's 10 percent of a small houses allotment for outdoor decor.

This, 100%. Of all the things I can think of that should be implemented, having your aetheryte and mailbox as part of the house structure is top. We can even customize a built in placard, not having these as part of the base house is ridiculous. Every house has some semblance of a fence and gateway. At the very least, even if we have to pay to buy the slots, the mailbox & aetherytes should be built into the shell of the house/fence; if you want to put your own in the yard somewhere you can leave the space blank and put a freestanding one out that will count against your item allotment, but it should be an option. And give us more options. I'd love to have a doman aetheryte, and our FC house would look really cool with one that looks like the one at Ok'Zundu.

Not sure why people would expect more -.- it is call a small plot for a reason. If anything people should go into open houses and see if it will meet their needs before hand to get an idea of both inside and outside capabilities.

I find this limit to be annoying to. I can't go all in with my detail on my Large plot because the limit is only 50. Now it will sound like a lot, but there are artheryte, mailbox, choco stable, and 3 garden patches, that's 6 slots already (10% a bit).

As someone already stated the performance issue previously on this threat, I understand that because of the warding system, there must be a limit (and a really tiny one). Mid to low end PC (yes and also you, peasent PS4, #PCMasterRace) out there just can't render lots of object, that's why they have the limit so low.

I'm dreaming that they could somehow optimize the furniture to leave bigger headroom for just at least 10 items would be nice.

edit: and now they're adding guest book, another valuable slot taking up by what it should already built-in.

you have the aetherit, chocobo stable, garden, mailbox - already 4 items just for the basic functions of housing.

I only have the Aethryte. Mailboxes are all over the place so I didn't put one in and FC has a Chocobo Stable which gets more visitors than my house would.

I do agree they should allow us to teleport by default.

While I agree that mailboxes and chocobo stables are available elsewhere, the point is that they're conveniences and the fact that we have to 'go elsewhere' to use them is kind of ridiculous. Now, the stable I'm 50/50 on - it's not that important to me, and it's huge, so it would be hard to include it in the house in a manner that would appease everybody. The mailbox, though, could even be built into the placard outside. And while I'm not a fan of the guestbook concept, that could be added to the placard, too, since that's already where you'd go to identify who the house belongs to.

The placard could ideally be a mailbox. How many houses have their address right on the mailbox outfront?

It's always the stepping stones that get you. Put down two sets of stepping stones and I felt like it took up four slots. Would like more so I can have a path leading to the door and the backyard, but I got three slots left and already have other things in mind for those.

I'd even settle for more two more spots.

Wow, I honestly thought it was the same going by some of the large houses I've seen and really only having a strip outside the front door to work with. Or maybe that's the medium plots.

Kind of what I like about the small plots. I can section off a segment of the yard to have as a sort of backyard that's different than whatever is right outside the door.

Ughhh those stepping stones....they do suck up valuable slots. I used four of the 3 step wooden slabs for my walkway to house and had to turn and interlock them to fill it up nicely. Large outside limit is 40 by the way. I just checked my shiro 16.

Imho , larges SHOULD have 50, that'd be ideal. Really.....every size could use an upgrade of +10 slots.

Well large house is even worse. More than 2x (maybe 3-4x) the size of a small house yard but only 2x slot (20 vs 40).
It even worse in the inside, 3 floors and each floor size is roughly 4-6x larger than the small house. That's 6-9x more space than the small house. But yet, we only got 4x slot (100 vs 400).

The furniture 'density' is totally different.
