Level 50 is NOT endgame.

Level 50 is NOT endgame.

Is that supposed to be an insult?
Yoshi said the game is 50% done. I think I read or heard in the Live Producer Letter that they are not planning on a level increase until after PS3 release or 1.21.
I believe that people overuse terms like "endgame", when what they really mean is level cap. They haven't even released advanced jobs yet.

Not at level 50 it isn't.
"They have not even released advanced jobs yet"
There is no meriting.
Maybe if you're from lolWoW that means: alternate advancement points.
This is Final Fantasy and it's nowhere near endgame yet. There are no advanced areas like sky and sea.
You are not putting the cart in front of the horse, but are on the road, with a horse and a load of manure to haul, when the cart has not even been invented yet.
Let me put it this way.Not at level 50 it isn't.

The term endgame suggests that there is something that comes before it. You might want to call it "the game."
"The game" in a level progression MMO where the goal is to empower your character to its full potential is the level progression itself and the opportunities and stories you encounter during this process. Once that level progression ends, the empowerment of your character ends. Ergo, the game ends.
Thus we call this phase, "the endgame."

Unfortunately, level 50 starting jobs are not near "full potential". Square enix has a lot of content planned to be released. It is not the end of the game. It is a work in progress.Let me put it this way.

Therefore, referring to it as "endgame" is not valid.
