lotro have a predefined notes that every one have in their computer, then only sending a score every one can play it. MP3 custom music is a different issue, u will need streaming for last one.


Anyway, i dont like this idea coz is ok to have a list of predefined music by SE but i dont like to listen "La cucaracha" and my attack grown up...

Freedom is not always best choice. I am agree to a long music list provided by SE and we to choose from them what we like. But to listen Naruto opening or The Simpsons theme in game... feels so stupid.

So, OP, can I have a bard that plays "dueling banjo's" on the barp, wears overalls and bare feet.

In that case my bard may think Raistlin's character wears that mask to hide his "purdy mouth"

Perhaps you think it's copyright infringement because you know nothing about it. It only infringes if you don't give credit to the author. If in game in the log it says "Gath begins to play One ft. Metallica on his Barp!" then it is giving credit to the author, therefore, it's not against copyright laws. The origin of the song, if it is downloaded via torrent of bought is between the user and the artist.

After consideration of the already current and future system, a /music mode would be better, but would also be cool if there were channeled spells that did different things.

Having a set of songs, the basics and the complex.
Say, this Basic song gives you Accuracy +4, and the Complex one gives you Attack Power+23
After some algorithms I don't want to mess around with, you can mix the Basic and the Complex, making an Advanced song, using techniques and sounds of both to make a harmony of sounds, generating another song. This will result into Accuracy +3 and Attack Power +17.

Maybe should just do FFXIV + guitar hero add-on and together with them do the minigame while brd is playing.
Otherwise what is brd going to do while playing music. harder song and higher score give better stat boost.
For attack song, every base hit enemy get dmg... well I never played guitar hero so I donno how it works...
WS is like remix song. you follow the preset heavy base node and dmg enemies
The song effect is just for brd itself, for other people it's just regular brd casting song animation with standard music.
[I think for super Gath's custom song should do the same thing. It's hard to please everyone with your favor music.]

BRD is playing a song...
Ifrit begins to cast Eruption.
Ifrit's Eruption is been deflected from BRD and hits itself for 1400 damage.
BRD: "Suck it down!"
