Yep. Tridus booted one this morning (her time), and I knocked one out this afternoon after refusing to comply with a warning (my time). There's a few, but we got the capacity to manage it.![]()
White Mage ~ Sage ~ AstrologianBoi if you got kicked for the same thing in over 20 duties I strongly suggest you think hard on whatever the hell it is you're doing
As I'm sure you are well aware, it takes more than one person to be able to kick a player from a duty, so in all those instances there were at least two people agreeing they'd be better off without you tanking.
I have pretty bad social anxiety/social block IRL but this is greately reduced on the internet, i still make mistakes tho socially on the internet from time to time but i reflect on them and try to better myself in that department, i got Ashpergers, i never had depression.
Altho i tend to be a bit more on the hardcore side of ffxiv in terms of raiding and such, tho i do RP and such, am i a good fit?

If you think you could do to have a little bit of positivity in your life to help you cope with your social anxiety, or just want a place where you can relax without fear of judgment (we don’t do that there!), feel free to join. :3 Even if you don’t say anything; we don’t mind lurkers (as an introvert, I tend to lurk in most chats and just jump in when I feel comfortable enough). If it makes you feel at ease, then I would consider the Discord relatively successful. The idea is to just give a space where people can go without fear of judgment or fear of stress. Just to chillax.I have pretty bad social anxiety/social block IRL but this is greately reduced on the internet, i still make mistakes tho socially on the internet from time to time but i reflect on them and try to better myself in that department, i got Ashpergers, i never had depression.

Also, if you get in there and find that the Discord isn’t the place for you, then that is also fine. We won’t judge you no matter your reasons or circumstance.
I also want to echo Paladinleeds statement that we do not tolerate any sort of harassment or trolling. I don’t know what kind of people join a Discord like this in the spirit of being, well, mean-spirited, but we will not tolerate it. We want this place to be as positive and as helpful as possible.

This isn't something I'll be participating in - not that I don't think it's a good idea, I just don't have the time or energy. However, I think (hope) it's going to be very helpful for people, and I think it's important to point out that server, class, gameplay (casual/mid/hard), etc - none of those matter. In fact, the more variety, the more people will see that these are the kinds of things that people suffer from frequently - and the suffering can be completely different from person to person. For example, I have a friend who can raid with pugs all day long but the second she steps into a raid with someone she knows she'll talk to again that isn't a close friend (i.e. FC-mates she's not close to), she completely freezes and fumbles, whereas I feel 100% less anxious with FC-mates than I do pugs.
It'll also be nice for people in all different levels of the game to be able to let others know what it's like from their little corner. Maybe hearing someone with anxiety talk about their experiences with harder content will help someone who's been afraid to get into it but wants to; maybe someone who finds crafting to be a good anxiety reducer will help someone who usually only does PVP find a way to calm themselves down after a hard match. Who knows?
Point is, the only people who aren't 'a good fit' for this sort of thing are trolls and bullies.

I want to bump this thread while I still can,
I just want to say thank you for making this, while I wont use it (though I really should), I am really grateful that others can get help and people to talk to. Im someone who has both depression/anxiety and the occasional suicidal thought. On top of all that, I had to deal with it alone for 4 years. Im very happy others could have the option of not going through this. Im also glad depression/anxiety is recognized and someone created a Discord for it.
Again thank you, Im sure you'll help lots of people![]()

I think this is a great idea, wishing you every success with it.
Frequent forum lurker here, have posted all of twice or so in my FFXIV career, but wanted to take the time to give this thread a bump and a like. Thank you for your efforts, as a person who has lived with moderate anxiety her whole life, having a support system available with people who have common interests (even if that's just FFXIV) is an invaluable asset. Thank you for starting this!
Very awesome, and I applaud this. As someone who suffers from this as well, ironically and sadly that's exactly what will prevent me from ever joining.
But cheers, nonetheless.
I joined this server a couple of days ago. I highly reccomend. It's a great iniciative and anxiety is something that affects most people. It's not a nice feeling. They are all nice people.
