Want the plain truth!?... I would never put any faith on Square Enix because all they are is a money-grabbing business that don't care about their clients unless they are still bound by a contract, the subscription in this case!...

Final Fantasy XIV is technically a garbage game in 2018 but it does have all the potential to be a great game, too bad they don't use the money made from this game to make it better!...

Just here to drop my 2 cents. I had been playing FF14 since ARR until last christmas where i've decided to stop resubbing. It was hard because i really love FF and i have a house in game. But by then i had gotten fed up of repetitive system. New patch, new tomes, start farm. It was the same for DOW,DOM and DOL. The same recipe, never changing. Life had also become busy for me, i have permanent job, i got married and in a month time i will give birth to our first daughter. I have less time to farm new tomes or repeatedly do 24 man raid for that one specific part that i need. And i also I

Ps: My 2 cents on the kupo coin, i guess you can say that you are paying for a premium service.

Not about what SE is becoming more and more as years are running but... about what is a forum, and what are people who post on forum

A forum is a palce where people speak about subject or other, mainly on the reason the forum exists. Here : FFXIV and SE.

People here are so FFXIV players, and also customers, and they say what they think about what they see, feel, do.


People saying they lost faith in SE, or SE is going mad dont have fun saying this, they did like the game of the company... And now, they have matter with all these... Hate and love are close to each other right?

So, try to understand what they say, most of people did explain, they didnt only say "all is bad" ...



But, i know it is useless to explain this to anyone like you, not because you are unable to understand, but because you dont want to understand, sure you are the speak of truth. Your words are so strong that you need 4 post to say all! Poor you.

In X-2's defense, it's actually a really fun game to play. But it's also very silly and dunks on X's story.

SE lost a lot of respect from me when they started dicing up their games to try and make people pay thrice. Luckily that bit them in the PR arse. What little respect I still had bottomed out when they put Mogstation in. They could've put a dent in Gil inflation by making fantasias an in-game item, etc. Their first thoughts are now "how do we monetize this" instead of how to actually fix it.

This is just a free to play game with a fee to get inside. If they flipped the F2P switch tonight it could take weeks for people to even notice...

Official forums are probably the least effect method of gauging the playerbase as a whole. It's a very small percentage of players that bother posting on here, and an even smaller amount that are fueling the "doom and gloom" as you said. My advice, if you like the game and have no problems with it keep playing it just like the vast majority will regardless of what's said on the forums.

I don't know if it's just them. I think for geek/nerd companies as a whole there is this massive disenchantment. Sega abandons the west save for sonic and genesis retreads, Konami does pachinko, every developer wants a cash shop, and movies/comics aim for the normals or money markets. It seems this whole ecosystem is slowly becoming corrupt.
