Personally, I think they should just get rid of everything that I don't like because my opinion is best and I am offended by other people's tastes.

While yes, I can agree with the idea that it would have been better to create something thats catering more to the male body or design a set specially for them instead of just copy-pasting the female one the argument that "female" clothing doesnt work on a male body (and should therefor not be done) seems, forgive me for being so blunt, like utter garbage to me.personal I don't think male bunny outfit should be add first it look bad, it female only outfit that if move to male look hidous on them. third it poor modeling on males character if they want add male out fit they add with long sleeve shirt. called people natzi is excuse tried shut down someone you don't argee with argument.
look change female clothing to male doesn't work it look bad on males, because the body of female character and male character are differents
Look, I'm playing a female Roegadyn - and a lot of gear, specially the "female" gear is modeled on and for the more petite body-types of the female Mi'qo, Au Ra or Midlander. I recall them stating at somepoint that they often even start with the outfit on a female Mi'qo and then transfer that over to other races. My point is: A lot of the dresses and female-only gear isnt really designed with the FemRoe bodytype in mind either and personally I dont think that something like the bridesmaid dress looks good on my more muscular character because its clearly meant for a more delicate bodytype. I can wear it regardless, even if the design doesnt work to well on a bulkier character.
At the same time male and female Lalafell basically share their bodytype...
Most of the gear in the game looks best on one race/gender (or a combination of those) - but even if it looks less ideal on the others: Why not give people the option to wear it on their character?
Specially when this comes down to taste in the end - I dont think that most robes look good on both male and female Roegadyn (and are more "meant" for tall, skinny elezen), someone else might disagree and love their bulky Roe in a robe and its great that they're having that option.
Just because you think that this gear doesnt look good on male characters doesnt mean thats a universal truth.
Also: Calling someone a nazi because they dont like this outfit isnt a great argument, I agree with that. However: making it clear that you dont like this outfit on males because of some sort of weird homophobia or the weird idea that its only okay to put women into skimpy objectifying playboybunny outfits isnt a great argument either.
I've seen way to many posts speaking out against this outfit while clearly assuming that its just gay men who want to ERP the shit out of every male character on the sever once they get their dirty gay hands on bunny ears... and that thats the sole reason people want the outfit in the first place - which is bullshit and the argument "male characters in bunny outfits make me feel uncomfortable" shouldnt be worth listening to in 2018.
Personally I dont think this outfit should have been released for the girls in the first place, because I'm not a fan of this playboybunny-trope.
But I'm happy for everyone who can make this outfit work for them - and now I can finally be happy for both male and female characters.
And you'll note that no one actually did that. The word was evoked by a person on the defensive to try and invalidate the arguments against them. Just to set the record straight here.
Bless. This is really an extension of what we already see in the game a lot where feminine outfits are given to the guys because that's how they designed them initially. Amusingly this makes the Gold Saucer one of the most glamour equivalent places in the game, even though the feminine to masculine gear ratio there is still 2:1. I'm just hoping they'll release a more 'Chippendale' variation with a vest-like item, and I really wouldn't mind if they made it unisex. More options the better, now SE just needs to realize that female charas also enjoy more masculine designs and we'll be good to go.However: making it clear that you dont like this outfit on males because of some sort of weird homophobia or the weird idea that its only okay to put women into skimpy objectifying playboybunny outfits isnt a great argument either.
I rather have tench coat for males bunny haha.
the bunny enforcers haha
if a you behavior badly the bunny enforcer escort you to door. you know security guards with bunny ears. this would really be cool for males character because they have something to put mages in that aren't robes
I love have male version of lightning armor for ffxiii she wear female version of guardian corp armors
Seifer armor would good ideal for ffviii
That was me, and not invalidate. We were veering away from rational discussion and you implied that limiting what I could see was a slippery slope to further censorship and restriction. Perhaps not the best word to bring into the conversation.
WHERE IS THIS KETTLE EVERYONE KEEPS INTRODUCING ME TO?
At least it happened. It took two years but at least it happened. Maybe we'll get the other female only gear soon. Not all of it is designed to be awkward on a male form, and is just genderlocked because for some reason the dev team is afraid of male thighs.
That would be the complete opposite of the feel the female version of the set has, however, and therefore not a fair or valid male equivalent. The female bunny set is sexy and/or silly, depending on your personal tastes towards this kind of clothing, therefore the male version needs to fit that category as well to be rightfully considered a male version.
Furthermore, there's already the gambler set, along with many other long coats in the game which you could pair the bunny ears with if you wanted that sort of look for your character.
Should we expect this to be a gold saucer thing, or a mogstation item, or is there no word on that as of yet?
Pretty sure it's going to be a Gold Saucer thing. Wouldn't make any sense to make it Mogstation.
I assume it is literally just the removal of the gender lock on the already existing item, so that would make it Gold Saucer.
