Two if you subscribe to the app. I’m assuming that one would only allow you to manipulate the mb once, similar to how one venture only allows you to send a retainer out once. I can’t say whether this allows you access to a retainer so that you can change multiple entries on a single retainer, or if it only allows you to change/add/remove a single item (likely the latter) but either way you’re extremely limited by one or two nuts a day. That’s where the coins come in; you’d theoretically be able to purchase an unlimited number of those and use an unlimited number per day, and they’re only available for real money.

so let me get this straight here. how are they gonna pull stuff out they're bum to sell it? nothing is gonna magicly appear in they're retainer. none of this makes RMT easyer at all. and your basicly spitting at crafters who sit at the market boards daily. i know a few who do nothing but sit there and just watch the prices go up and down. and what about us gathers? your going pretty far off. i mean you can already insta buy stuff on the market board / goto it in game. this just makes things easyer. im sorry but from my view point your taking it to far and WAYYY to drastic.

It's not about RMT, it's about how they plan to make this profitable. By artificially limiting the usefulness of the app unless you pony up extra cash every time you want to exceed the extremely low allowances they give you for free, SE is hoping to annoy or pressure people into buying functionality that should already exist. If the app let you buy/sell from the MB as much as you want in both paid and free, and still kept all the perks like the extra retainer and saddlebag capacity in the paid version, there would be far less disgust and negativity.

My guess it was not worth the "COST" or maybe even time (because no one was using it) to keep the Auction house part of it running, even though its been completely free for the last few years.

The biggest difference between WoW and FFXIV is the fanbase... The FFXIV "fanboys" are at the same time what was the best for the game at the launch of ARR but is now the worst part because they don't mind buying more and more items on cash shop at higher and higher price. S.E. is fully aware of that and that's why they make more and more things only buyable with real money. The compagnon app with ANOTHER sub and virtual currency is the perfect example. Months after months the game is having more and more F2P mechanics. With the only difference that we have to pay more and more to have things that should be implemented for free in a game with sub. I used to love the game... Like, really... But Yoshida is taking bad decisions one after another...

the matter is not the money they ask (at least for me) but THE WAY they ask it... With a "please use it" from yoshida, about an app, that include this premium shit. about the cash shop, the sub systeme storage expand (where other game doest storage with 1time buy...)

I would gladly prefer the "1 char" sub at 12 euros and "8char sub" at 17 euros but... ALL OTHER THING FREE... that what we have

this is a NEW currency, we are not buying the kupo nut beast tribe currency, we are buying a NEW currency to let us list items on the MB.

Actually a friend of mine somewhat convince me its kinda of pay-to-win or rather pay-for-more-profit when it come to Market Boards.
its like having 8 Retainers u have a 6 x 20 more slot to sell items in than the default player.
and with app premium plan it will even be more slots to sell.
and paying for more nuts lets you more opportunities to undercut stuff also.

now if that feature in the app was FREE that would be a different story since its accessible to all players.
