Coeurl wouldn't be a bad place for RPers to start setting up shop. Only the shady ones are not liked. The native/ long term pop likes to joke with everyone though, but not in an immature way. You would have to roll with the punches. It's laid back for the most part.

Your only solution is really Odin's slash.
Slashed Balmung into two servers or forced migration.
S/E has done it in FF11.

No they haven't they threatened to do it to Odin in ffxi but went with voluntary free transfers off instead and it was a bigger issue in ffxi because of the game being mostly open world content

The biggest complaint from Balmung players seems to be the lack of housing. Well that might be an issue there, but the other *65* servers are all doing just fine with that. Some have more than others, but getting a house is a realistic possibility on every other server.

To get a house, you must sacrifice having a population to play with. That is its own very serious issue.
An mmo should not punish the player for wanting to play with other people. There is no valid dissenting argument on this matter.

We have many available still in Lamia. Not maybe in the best locations, but plenty are available to be bought.
