MMORPG's aren't strictly RPG's. They're multiplayer games. I find the stories I have from playing with real people are always more interesting than what the writers have given us. It doesn't help that, over the years, I found most JRPG storylines to be full of cliche and retarded angsty teen drama.

Still. It's weird to me. It's like buying a comic book and only looking at the pictures. Yeah, the art is an important part, but what's the point?
Because not everyone shares the same interest in enjoyment as you. I don't enjoy the story of XIV much because its very, very typical, common and cliche. Nothing is unique, its traditional scenario which I likely can guess what is going to happen and is easily summed up.
This isnt XIV or SE's problem though, happens all the time, movies, many games. Its hard to do things different unless everything is different.
If out of leves do Caravan Escort and/or Behest!
Grind is never the best option IMO...because grind is also the main source of boredom...including all types of grinding...from craft/gather grinding to xp parties/raid/ifrit/SH grinding.
