What to do when out of leves? Grind?

I see what you're getting at, but making grinding the most efficient way to level means we've outright moved backwards instead of forwards. At this rate, we're beyond 'gradual'. We've just plain missed the mark.

most of mmorpg now a day are quest grind, party grind only play a small part to support or to force ppl to pvp with each other (in pvp game), so yes I am agree with your point.

ps: maybe it is time to fix your sign ? will not be 12.99$

@OP who created this thread: get use to this community forum, they are not nice as the other forum.

tips: when you re out of quest you can "grind behest" (no other option) will be able to do every 30 min, but after the 1st you will have to wait until the last min to be able to register to another behest.

I'm trying to find this game fun with how broken it is... but I feel like there's nothing to do when I'm out of leves, I could do a few quests, or grind. Or possibly find a group to grind with.

Grind... That is all. No matter what there is besides the few quests I could do, all I can do is Grind. Even find a group to grind with, which is pretty close to impossible. Usually find a duo at most which doesn't work to well.

I honestly feel like the concept of leves just wants me to not play until I build more up...

omg you ran out of leves, lol. i havnt been below 80 since 1.19 lol. You wil lvl much faster in an xp party

I don't see why the Op is getting a bunch of grief from the community. Is this really how a bunch of people are going to treat someone who seems realitively new to this game and is asking for help. I have seen a few suggestions, which is nice. This game is obviously not good at keeping people's attention...that should signal a red flag to the community at large.

Anywho, Op, to answer your question, other than grinding to get your character up to do the side quests, there is the main story line and I believe company quests (which I think one needs to be 20+? correct me if I am wrong). You could hunt NM's, and maybe join a very active LS if you have the time to do runs on Ifrit? Other than that, I don't think there isn't much to do. The dev's are doing their best to try and fix this game for it's users. The best thing that I can offer is maybe just to take a break until next year when it's supposed to be a completely different game. I've stopped playing myself and just log in occasionally so I can take part in discussion and ask questions. I don't want to get to far into FFXIV and it's current play style when it's going to be drastically different in a year. Sorry it's not to your liking, many didn't like it either for obvious reasons, but hopefully it will be considered "release worthy" by end of next year that it will draw back a big community for us to play in together

Um...when you were new you asked for help and I invited you to our ls. This person is asking what there is to do when they know exactly what there is to do. I'm not a mean person, I just don't tolerate bs. Also, calling the game broken, saying it's impossible to find a group (when it's not with just a minute amount of effort), and refusing to do content because it doesn't fit their playstyle (what?)... I don't understand how people are defending the OP. He hasn't done a single quest and is asking what else there is to do besides leves, complaining about a grind that is self-imposed.

Oh btw, I am still nin the LS from time to time. I'm taking a break from playing for obvious reasons. As far as doing LS related things, sorry. I can't force my husband to set time aside to schedule to do things. He likes to do things on his own time. He and I have little time to play, he doesn't want to feel like playing a game is a job. <<<<-Edited part
And as far as content, I played Rift for two evenings...2...I had more fun playing the silly side quests that were low-levels that actually had something to do with imminent danger to the environment and surroundings than FFXIV does...I am a huge FF fan. HUGE. I played XI for years! And when I moved to this game, just like many, I liked it but was disappointed.

The grind in this game isn't self-imposed. It is in a way forced. You can't tell me it's not forced. Especially at low-levels from what I hear, it's a major pain to level up...how is that self imposed? You can't get enough exp doing side-quests, and if you aren't willing to dedicate time to an LS, leveling can be rather slow and painful not to mention, people seem to have a hard time finding parties :/

How in anyway is the lack of content the OP's fault? If this game truely wants to succeed and be competitive with other MMO's out there, FF has to find a way to jive with the majority of players. Not me, but others people who play MMO's who I know prefer to like story-related progression, side-quests that are related to the MS in some way, that is intriguing and fun, and has something for ALL levels, not just "Okay grind 5 level's here...do quest....another few levels here...do quest..."... That doesn't always translate as fun for everyone :/

You did accept my ls. I'm not offended at all, you're the one that rage quit after d/cing in Toto-Rak. There is not a lack of content, the OP is refusing to complete the content that is available in the game. If they were at 50 with all the content complete, then they would have a valid complaint. I'm done with this topic now, as I think I've stated my point as clearly as I can, and I feel like I'm taking crazy pills arguing it again and again.

Then don't argue, and stop taking crazy pills. What you find enjoyable doesn't always translate to others. Grinding obsessivly maybe considered fun to one and not the other >_<;

I agree with you. I even told the OP to quit if they weren't having fun. I haven't seen you on since that day, so forgive me for assuming. I'm not mad at you at all, I think you're a cool person. Sorry if I'm coming off as hostile. I don't intend to.

Sorry for the long wait response. Kiddo wanted me to help her with her Tinker Bell Costume XD LOL. Anywho, it's okay, you did come off a bit hostile to me. No worries. Anywho, yes, if the op isn't having fun she should stop playing.

Edited: Yeah we didn't rage quit at Toto-Rak at all. Wel continued playing up until two monthes ago. When we found out we were expecting, we've kind of put FFXIV on hold due to pregnancy and all the changes that are coming. I don't like playing a game and it having be something completely different later on. Like a bait and switch. I'd just rather wait until the end of next year, keep my characters, and wait until my new baby is sleeping through the night before my husband and I play again. THat way when the kids are in bed, we can so get our FFXIV dork on :P
