You know what I want to see happen for maximum lulz and salt? SE puts the male bunny suit on the Mog Station!
People obviously want male bunny suits so bad, they'll be willing to shell out that RL gil for it right? Come on SE, you know you want to~

At this point, WoW's tech is ahead of XIV's on many levels. Creating new gear, most of them with multiple colors and special effects is a non issue. Graphically...WoW might not be as quite as pretty as XIV, but the art style is top notch and has its own unique beauty. They keep the engine updated with each expansion. Why is WoW so successful? Because they keep it up to date and make improvements. The game was built from the ground up to last. It hasn't always been perfect, but it's still miles ahead of XIV in so many ways. SE could make the changes needed to make XIV a great game, but until they receive bad press or experience severe sub loss they won't lift a finger.

You do realise they are basically just removing the gender lock on the existing set?
I would argue chest and leg armor lacking models is a PRETTY big hindrance to appearances. At this point, WoW's tech is ahead of XIV's on many levels. That being said, WOO BUNNY SUIT! People can crusade all they want, this is exactly what I was expecting.
It doesn't matter how long it took them, the main point is that it's out. Let's show SE this kind of thing is wanted so hopefully the next one won't take 3 years.

Both have models though, just not always 3D. That doesn't mean that they lack models.I would argue chest and leg armor lacking models is a PRETTY big hindrance to appearances.

That's exactly why I'm going to be selling myself to Godbert and getting both sets on all my guy charas.
Exactly. This is exactly what people asked for, removing gender locks on female glamours. And then it comes out and they cry that it's not what they asked for. I actually feel bad for Yoshi P and the dev team, because they can't win with this.

A bit of apple and oranges tbh, they are very different systems and the fact that Wow is much simplier than FFXIV might just also mean that upgrading it is much easier, while let's not forget that the shadow of 1.0 still lingers they even said that they are working on getting over them, however I know it should've been ready yday and all but frankly let's stop with this nonsense of them listening only to bad press and sub losses shall we? Because the same could be said to Activision-Blizzard too.At this point, WoW's tech is ahead of XIV's on many levels. The criticisms are fine....the issue I have is that no one seems to balance it out by acknowledging what SE did do.
Sure there is a lot of stuff SE does that I don't like, but I can give objective credit where credit is due.
They did this even though they kind of openly admitted they didn't want to, just to try to make a portion of the FFXIV players happy.
This is the first time, as far as I remember, that they have ever changed a female locked glamour set to being able to be worn by males.
I mean these are the first steps, they have been trying to listen, but they may stop listening if people are showing zero appreciation for what they tried to do and calling the company lazy isn't going to help us get more opportunities as a community to ask for what we want in the game.
Sure, you might not have been in the camp that wanted a direct copy of the female version, but acknowledge what I listed above and then add critiques of what you want to see in the future and keep campaigning for more male glamours in general. They will be way more likely to keep putting the effort in if they can see the player base being at least partially appreciative.
When it comes to SE bending to requests from the community only posting negativity and not posting a few of the positives (no matter how small they may be) just won't help us get more things we want in my opinion.
Have to remember it is their game, not ours, they obviously want to keep their subscribers happy of course otherwise they wouldn't make a profit, but honestly the game wasn't going to crash and burn just because they ignored a male bunny suit request, but they still did it anyway right?
I mean older MMOs basically never listened to the players when it came to development (most didn't even have an official forums). Something like a campaign for a certain set of glamour in old games it would have been unheard of for the game company to listen at all. So I really feel some appreciation is needed here even if you have critiques to go with it that is fine.

While I personally have zero desire to get the bunny outfit (I don't think they look good at all, they look horrible on female characters), I'm glad that those have been wanting it are finally getting it.
Now if only SE's CEOs would stop taking a large chunk of the profits made by 14 to make the 7 remake, KH3 & a golf sim in 15...
I LIKE the fence. I get 2 groups to laugh at then.
