Chilled for the night, returned with new perspective. That includes remembering that the Gambler's outfit exists. I fully admit that giving us a completely different design rather than a variation that fits the males would've skewed it too much in the other direction. I mean not really, but I can see why they did this (let's be honest, if they differed from this design, they would've had to deal with the cries to make whatever new design available to the ladies as well which 1. would've meant even more work, 2. left us right back where we started and thus not helped balance the books in the least). That said, we're not short on unisex items that look noticeably different on the different genders so I feel like they could've taken a few extra liberties with it. But as we all know, unless it's to slap panties on a piece of gear that should rightly be a top level legs piece, that sort of lack of symmetry usually works in the favor of the ladies so nothing new here.
I am left to hope that my hoped for bunny outfit which consists of short-shorts and a vest-corset combo will eventually make it into the game, and if it will be unisex, so much the better, more charas to rock that look, now without the disappointment of it being inaccessible to my main. Hey, one can dream, right?
Now I'm just left to wonder if they realize just how big a can of worms they opened with this because they lost a big case against making many other sets gender-unlocked (female locked -> unisex, we're not short on male locked -> unisex examples). Because seriously, how much more over the top can you get compared to a casino bunny-girl? I mean, Hildy already wore the spring dress...

The devs have been better lately about giving male characters equal glamour opportunities compared to female characters. There's still a bias towards female outfits, and there probably always will be, but at least they're making an effort. The male bunny suits are another example that the devs are listening and trying to please us.

Looks like all the dev time went into getting dat Roe ass to fit into those stockings.

Not just gear design; there's been a whole lot of lazy going on. What little content Eureka is was delayed a ridiculous amount of time, and we still don't even have some of the basic things we've previously had like battlecraft leves or the grand leves HW introduced. There'd been a rumor before SB that it "had triple the budget" and oh boy was that ever wrong.
It's about how one of 2 things should've happened: Either they just slap the girls' outfits on guys and call it a day, or take the time to make new models for guys to be distinct. The amount of time they took conflicts with the lack of difference in them, and the wait just turned the whole thing into hype followed by disappointment.

Oh...So now a collar with a bow tie and shirt cuffs make one a bunny, no matter what else is done?! You know that "based off" of something doesn't mean that it's the same thing shown differently, right? Volksvagen Beetle having the name and shape reminiscent of a beetle doesn't make it a mechanical insect, for example. Cars in low-budget games based off of real life cars don't make them a Mercedes, BMW etc., just cause they look very much like those (and that IS the point). So yes. A suit that does not look like a bunny suit is NOT bunny suit. Just add one penny to the jar of irrelevant things in common that they share with multiple different types of setups.
Probably because they never wanted these suits due to the female connotations of theirs, their look etc. And the women were the only ones in the team willing to work on it. Many men dislike the idea very strongly after all, so it would be no surprise that the team mostly was hostile to the idea...hence the long time to arrival.

Lol complaining about a glamour outfit that everyone asked for. It’s not like there’s a jillion other articles of clothing in the game.

Ahhh, I understand now. So if the NA community was complaining about this for 2 years, now they got it and still don't like it, what was the point in implementing it in the first place? You can't win at that point so I can see now why they gotten REALLY lazy on the gear set for the men.

Why are you assuming that everyone shares the same opinions? There are people who like this and there are those who don't. It makes no sense to come here with "I bet the people who wanted this would have complained if they got what they didn't want" ????
I was looking at old threads and seems that back then you somewhat understood it, but now are choosing not to.On these forums at least, I don't remember seeing a single person requesting a more masculine version. Every single time they either specified wanting the same exact one females had or they only said "bunny suit" which is 100% open to interpretation and any reasonable person would rightfully assume they're requesting the female one.
Either way, not surprised coming from a catgirl. It's always catgirls and Au Ra coming to these threads to argue against a topic that doesn't affect them, and a topic where they are already favored.
EDIT: a few more quotes since apparently no one ever wanted anything but the female version:
Nobody in this thread has asked for the current bunny outfit to be made unisex. They're asking when or if the one that is currently being created to suit male characters is going to be available, and everyone in here seems to be going off the assumption that it will be redesigned to more appropriately accommodate a masculine figure.
Whether the final result will or will not be any one design is irrelevant. It's being created with the intent of being worn by men. It is, by definition, not crossdressing.
That's just a few pages, you're free to dig the old threads for more, you'll find people who wanted the same female outfit, but you'll find lots more who wanted a new male version.

Let's be honest. They had absolutely no intention of ever doing this, and only did so because of player demand. It was at the bottom of their to do list, hence why it took so long.
