Off-Topic: You should grab a copy of Assassin's Creed its a great game, awesome gameplay pretty good story and all around fun and good times.I'm not a fan (should rephrase that, I've never played Assassin's Creed, so I don't know much about it!) of Assassin's Creed, but that outfit looks like it would fit in Eorzea, and it looks pretty awesome.
To those saying that something like this does not fit in the world - this game has pretty much broken the fourth wall more than a couple of times through NPC dialogue (a good example off of the top of my head is the leve NPC that references characters with "xSephirothx" screen names). Granted, this could have a lot to do with localization, but it still exists. I agree that having a big bright red Mario hat would be a little silly, but an outfit like this would only break the fourth wall in the sense that you recognize it from another series. If I didn't know what Assassin's Creed was, and you had told me that this was Ninja or Thief AF, I probably wouldn't think twice about it.
@EdenArchangel I likes that too, that gonna be in 13-2 aswell?

So I hear. It's just one of those current gen franchises that I haven't gotten around to jumping into.
I'm honestly not sure; I believe the original statement was a vote over the two designs, and the voting is currently 3:2 ratio. It would make sense to me that the "winner" is a free pre-order DLC for gamestop (or wherever) but that they'll both be offered as purchasable DLC.
If not, I'll be damned and rally the people since they fit together so nicely, especially since DLC is now prominent in cutscenes.

I know some people don't understand why having things like this in the game is a problem for people like me, so I'll try to explain.
It's like the Ring Wraiths driving around in convertibles in The Lord of the Rings.
It's like Barney the Dinosaur replacing Tyler Durden in Fight Club.
It's like ketchup on your pancakes.
It's like a clown at a funeral (or a clown anywhere, really).
It's like taking off their pants on the third date and finding out they have something other than what you thought they did.
None of these things are the end of the world and I wouldn't shed any tears if they happened to me, but being out of place as they are, there's no good reason for them to happen and I'd prefer they didn't. Short of the long, Ezio doesn't belong in Eorzea.

But it would still look great on the Assassin Class with its Thief and Ninja jobs. (^_~ )
Credit goes to Niqo'te for her fabulous art in the "Nique's happy fun time!"-thread and Nix/Capa for the Caitlyn drawing to the right. \(^_^ )/
Give her your support by liking their art!
I wouldn't mind an AF set that looks somewhat similar to the Assassin's Creed outfit. I agree with another poster that it really looks like something a BLU would wear.
Also, anyone who hasn't played Assassin's Creed should. It's an awesome series. If you like story, you'll love it.
I don't know, why not have it in Wind waker and Uncharted, and the blob 2, and catherine, and dark souls, and god of war, and gundam while we're at it, also walkyria chronicles and ace combat?
It has been announced that FFXIII-2 will have DLC for this Ezio Costume. In my opinion, instead of one-time use in FF13, it would be better to add this into FFXIV content so we have some more goal to get this set of gears. It could fit either come as achievement prize, NM drop-craft, or raid content.
If you're not an idiot, you got my point.
Why shouldn't they? It isn't like it breaks the game.
As long as it doesn't cause my character's hair to disappear while worn, I wouldn't object.
and to everyone who's bitching about how this is disgraceful or immoral, I would point out that game, anime, and other popular media do shout outs all the time. If you played Fable 2, did you complain about the presence of "Hal's Armor"? Or maybe Old Snake's Altier costume in MGS4? Perhaps you screamed bloody murder when you found Cloud Strife in Final Fantasy Tactics?
Nicloe-456 in DoA3?
Hayabusa Armor in Halo?
Kingdom Hearts in general?

The term you're looking for is "high fantasy". FFXIV is not medieval.
Also I really really really do not like all of the DLC preorder bullshit that FFXIII-2 is getting. I've already the CE preordered on amazon, but cheaping people out of that omega fight from the final product is a low blow. Costumes and such are fine as DLC, but christ, why in the world would you strip an iconic enemy from the game for DLC. That's something capcom would do.
