My Analysis of the Current Healer Meta-game in “The Feast”

If you want to say the day before today's rank 10 is an astro, yes, he plays astro this season.
But let me tell you, his healing isnt as good as the other healers.

and about Gaia Rank 1 Healer, isnt that Uncle Acid?? he mains WHM yea?

I'm not entirely sure about the meta over other DCs but in elemental, I believe AST is still way less desired to be on a team. Assuming both healers are on equal level.

I made educated guesses as to what many jobs were and sometimes you can't really tell who plays what based on what they are wearing. With regards to elemental I only really knew who played in the top portion of top 10 and even if the bottom portion of top 10 has a couple white mages, I still think it clearly illustrates due to the fact the top portion is loaded with scholars with a pretty large lead. I did mention how Scholar and Astrologian seem to be clearly favored by higher ranked players across the board.

Uncle Acid is currently rank 1 on Primal/Gaia and has been playing Astrologian. He is currently wearing astrologian gear and people know he's been playing it. I think he's a player that will play the job that has more potential in a certain meta-game and currently astrologian holds more benefit than white mage.

Well ye, it is frontloaded but the recast time is still the same. After the 3rd GCD the healing output is the same again. As the animation of an abridged cast cant be skipped, it's not that good as one might think.

The main point of it is that Astrologian can afford to be efficient in more cases due to the front-loaded nature of Beni I into Beni II. White Mage on the other hand can easily fall behind due to the extra cast time needed to perform the same combo. An easy example I can make is if an Astro gets stunned after Beni I, they have a instant cast Beni II ready the moment they get out of it. If White Mage gets stunned after a Cure I, they have to rely on something bigger in order to catch up if the situation calls for it. And with stuns and dmg being so constant during the entire game, I think white Mage holds the disadvantage in that way.

A lot of my argument has to deal with the relative pacing of the game and how the healing jobs can respond to it. White Mage I think has a harder time with dealing with it compared to the other two.
