Out of curiosity. I was unaware of a cap. What is the cap?

The problem with accruing that much wealth is you become a liability to the server - given that you could crash the economy practically single-handed at any time, if you chose to.
I doubt SE would want to encourage you to get even more.

Pretty much this. OP could already crash the market yet want's even more power to crash it. You obviously don't need that much gil or you'd have never accumulated it to begin with.
Sorry OP - limitations exist for a reason. Maybe it's time to consider an early retirement.

Yeah, I just don't know what anyone would want that much Gil for? I don't spend much on the MB, as there isn't really anything for sale that I need, but when I do spend, it's never been more than a couple million; which I make back by the end of the day anyways..........

Too much gil...

How would raising the gil cap help the game economy?

Lol no. Im not even bothered with thw gil limit.
People talking something being pointless lol. It's not like this whole game is gear grind so we can kill bosses that give us better gear so we can kill better bosses until they add more gear and bosses so we can keep grinding.
But yeah, I hate hard caps and support removal of such, even if they don't affect me directly.
With great deeps comes great enmity.
The economy is messed up enough as it is and raising the gil cap wouldn't help that at all.
I'm honestly glad there aren't any major gil sinks because it would probably just worsen the already terrible botting problem the game has, not to mention it's really not that uncommon for the filthy rich players to be involved in such activity.
A circle of gil-obsessed players are exerting an extremely unhealthy influence on my server's marketboard by flooding it with underpriced goods produced through bot farming and they all own large houses already so it's clearly just a case of them wanting to make gil for personal amusement, even if it hurts all of the legitimate crafters by forcing them to sell at a price point that's so low as to make scarcely worth even bothering to craft.
