Take Castrum/Praetorium out of Mentor Roulette

There should be 2 types of mentor roulettes.

1. Roulette: Mentor (just everything you can get from all other roulettes but alliance raides)
2. Roulette: Mentor (Extreme) this one can also include ex fights. If you get one of those and finish then it counts as 3.

At least one of the tanks should know what to do in MSQ. I ran with a group that was new to the game leveling up my DPS. And the only other player there who knew the run was another DPS. If you leave the teaching to a non-mentor, what will a mentor status mean then?

People want ex trials and praetorum/castrum removed from mentor roulette... go for it but remove the mount reward and tomestones as rewards... cuz you damn sure don't get them for doing leveling roulette, expert roulette, or any other roulette (which is what mentor would be without ex trials and msq)

These you can get from most of the roulettes...as long as you are the right level when you queue up for it that is.

But I do agree with what you are saying. Actually had an Ifrit EX that succeeded, on the fourth pull...with very little talking(people adjusted quickly after each wipe...so didn't even have to say much really)

IMO the duty you take on as a mentor is making sure partymates are comfortable and feel welcome just as much as it is making sure they are knowledgable. Part of this is alleviating boredom. Press enter during cutscenes and interact with folks, make jokes, riff whatever's happening in the cutscene.

There are seven other poor souls who are also trapped in this hell with you, take care of them.
