Eureka brought back the feeling of lively world content where everyone comes together with a common goal! It's easily the most social content in the game currently. I've been having a blast even though I didn't like it day 1, it's grown on me and I spent the majority of my play time this weekend in Eureka with my friends!!! Thank you devs for this throw back that is ACTUALLY FUN!

6 page thread on why its great.

Hmmmm....
People typically don't rush the forums to praise content. Its usually just salty people who want to complain about one thing or another. I enjoyed Eureka for the first week it was out. That said, the content was far more shallow than I was expecting and I don't see long term interest maintaining.

Why salty, because they got something to say that goes against your ideas?People typically don't rush the forums to praise content. I hated the place, that is for sure. I made myself doing it up to lv.19 at least, got my relic and gear. After I've done this, I could not feel like accomplished something, I hope I never need to go through that again.
If you ask me, Eureka and it's ease to farm crystals at high level solves an old problem the game had - that it is hard to switch classes in endgame.
Because of the gear lockouts, if you wish to switch classes for Savage, you need to do so either in very beginning of the patch or near the end of it when gear lockouts are lifted. Before that, you can reasonably equip only like 2, maybe 3 classes when new alliance raid comes up, unless you have tons of gil or can craft 350 pieces.
With Eureka, you can bump every single job in the game to 355 left side(excluding belt), with 5 materia slots as a bonus. This is more than enough to attempt even last savage floor, hence much easier to swap classes if so needed or wanted. Granted, you still need accessories and a belt, but it's still a lot of weight lifted from gearing non-main jobs (and accs are usually the most cheap piece to buy crafted).
It's 50/50. The last few instances I have done have been really bad - LOTS of MPK, some dude got into it with someone and started posting links to savage parse data to try to make fun of him, it's bad in there. Of course, this was expected. The players at the top levels want to keep players at the bottom levels at the bottom, so the MPK starts to discourage players from joining the train (even though that's how most of THEM leveled).
When it's a group of nice people all helping each other, it's great. HOWEVER, it only takes ONE jerk to sour an ENTIRE INSTANCE, and that's a real problem. The GMs aren't doing much, either. I reported two players and got the canned response from GM which usually means they aren't going to bother looking at it, so SE is kind of endorsing this behavior.
I can't decide if I really like Eureka or not.

I'm enjoying Eureka!
I didn't love it to start with, but I didn't hate it either. I'm good with it now though. I have had some really fun social experiences with groups in there, and that is something that is sorely missing from all other content. People are there to get down to business, but if you're standing around on the NM train...you've got lots of time and opportunity to be social with others, and its great. People seem to hate the NM train, but really, it has a special and unique charm to it, and it probably the most social thing in this game for those of us not in huge FC's. So while I don't love all of it, I do like it for what it is, and I hope they don't do anything to mess it up in the future, that would be a shame.
