Let us trade/sell the scorpion harness, hairpin and dino mount. All the stuff, including mounts, from POTD could be done this way and people still like doing it. I don't see what the harm is in letting these things be tradeable too.

Dark Pegasus mount is a completely different set of requirements and why its still Millions of Gil on servers as you have to get to those floors.

Eureka, you can walk in at 70 and start getting lockboxes. Unlike POTD upper floors, which shards are far less common and subject to RNG unlocks also.

You are asking for the incentives of doing the content be removed and literally tossed on the MB, which would be flooded and dirt cheap simply due to the amount of lockboxes one can obtain, with far less effort.

To be fair, it took me 1307 boxes for barding and 1401 for the Rex mount and it still didn't bother me, as it rains lockboxes in there.

It could work like the items used for prototyping then. Tradeable but market prohibited. That way people can gift friends, but you can't simply flood the MB. And most people aren't simply going to try and sell them via PF/shout.

I'm going from experience of seeing the PF/shout for the prototyping items for housing, they just aren't there, at least on Louisoix. Might be different on your realm but from seeing Odin and Louisoix (since I was on Odin for a couple of years before moving to Louisoix), my experiences are that PF/shout is very rarely used to sell the items. Now, I concede that the items in question here are very different (prototyping items vs mounts), but it's the only baseline we have. That's what I'm going off.
